     Bolt finally found his forever home this weekend. He has been adopted by a woman who is familiar with his breeds (Boxer/Pit mix) and who wanted a pet for her and her grandchildren. Bolt was very excited and took to his new family very easily... of course he is a lover dog and enjoys lots of attention. I had had a few inquiries because of Rescue Me!, this was the first to be a good fit for Bolt. Bolt had been with me and my other rescues for right at a year and I am happy that he has found a family with the time, patience and love that he deserves.      Well, here goes my second success story of placing a dog in the perfect home through Rescue Me! Our last puppy of the rescue litter, boxer mix Chrysanthemum, is the alpha female of a litter of nine, and had been returned from her first home. Not wanting to put her through that instability again, we were wary when a second 'friend of a friend' inquired about her, but wasn't willing to put out any effort to come to our home to meet her. This potential owner wanted to know if we could just 'drop her off with his sister-in-law.' We knew we couldn't afford to keep her but really didn't feel good about this potential home, so we decided to post her on Rescue Me. What a difference! After only 1 week, we had multiple inquiries about our pup and after 2 weeks, we had found a family who seemed very serious. They had just lost their dog's companion and wondered if our pup would be a good replacement. In addition to sounding like very compassionate potential new puppy-owners, they offered me their vet's name and phone number and encouraged us to call them. In addition, they not only traveled over an hour to meet this new puppy and introduce their current pet (a Boxer female) to our pup, but then agreed to repeat the trip on a subsequent day so that they could go home and 'puppy-proof' their home. These folks really have gone the extra mile to assure me that they will care for our precious puppy. But perhaps most significantly, the new owner had had a dream about what her new puppy should be named prior to ever meeting us or finding our pup's picture on the website. When we had our first meeting she was sharing this name with me and my jaw dropped: the name, 'Daisy' was what our pup's first owners had called her and the name that she responds to best! I truly believe that there is a home out there for every dog, it is just a matter of matching up the pet with the pet-owner. Rescue Me! helped us find our pup's perfect home.      Rescue Me! was such a Godsend. I have had Shumpa since she was a puppy and she has been a beloved family member. She has been raised with a Pomeranian named Snickers and they have been great friends their whole lives. One night I came home and found my Pomeranian with bite wounds... It was a heartbreaking decision, but I knew that I would need to find a new home without any other animals for Shumpa. I posted Shumpa's biography on Rescue Me and within 30 minutes got a response. It was from a man that lives with his 19 year old son who had been searching for a boxer for a long time. He was so excited to have Shumpa and it was a perfect fit... As a single man, he has the time to spend with Shumpa so she doesn't get lonely. He even made Shumpa her own Facebook page full of pictures of Shumpa enjoying her new family... I am so grateful for this site, this site not only saved Shumpa but in doing so, saved our whole broken-hearted family.

     Rescue Me was a God send. I want to thank you for creating this web-site for animals. I had Sadie for 4 years (since she was a puppy) and recently, my grandmother passed away (95 years old), leaving behind my uncle with down-syndrome. I am now his legal guardian. I have two other dogs, but with my uncle, Sadie became very jealous of the others affection from him and was becoming aggressive. She was loving but need to be the center of attention. I was afraid she was going to become to aggressive and needed to be with a family where she was the only animal. Using Rescume Me's web-site, I was able to list Sadie and had a wonderful family, man and wife, with three young boys come and fall in love with her!!! As hard as it was to put her up for adoption, I know that she will be loved and able to live out her life happy and free to love as much as possible!!!!!!!!!!!      We had an 8 month old boxer that we really needed to find a home for due to the space of our apartment. We felt like he needed a home with a big backyard to be able to run freely in. As much as we didn't want to give him up we knew it was the right thing to do. Within the first day of making our post we were flooded with emails from people wanting to meet Marley. We talked to quite a few people and then finally scheduled a time for him to meet his potential family. They loved him right away an took him that day with no hesitation. He's now running like a bullet ( there exact words) in his new backyard and happier than ever! This website is perfect for finding a good family for a pet you aren't able to take care of instead of having to take them to a pound where you don't know what's going to happen to them. And when we are ready for a dog when we buy our first home we will be returning to this site to find our new dog! :)

     My aunt recommended www.RescueMe.Org to me when she found out that our boxer was not working out for us. I checked into the site and decided to give it a try. The very night that I posted, we received an interested contact. That contact was promising but did not work out. Soon after that we had another interested prospect. This worked out perfectly.      We had a brindle boxer show up outside of our house and ended up taking the poor guy in. He was undernourished and very scared. I searched every pet finder website out there and posted ads trying to find his owner with no response. It was also impossible to find a shelter that took animals in. I came upon this site and posted the ad...I had a response within just a couple days. I was a little weary because I didn't want him to go to another bad home but the people that ended up taking him were wonderful and I could tell he was going to be spoiled and loved to death.      A very nice young woman contacted me and she was really interested in meeting Sox. She said that she has been looking for a dog for a long time and wanted Sox to be her companion. When I took Sox out of the truck she ran to the girl and licked her - I knew then that this was a good match. I mentioned to them that if they are not able to keep her to let me know and that I would take her back. They told me that she was perfect and any issues they would find a way to resolve them. When Sox lived with me she stayed in a crate in my kitchen with her sister Diamond who I may need to find a home but I would like for her to stay. The young woman told me that she would not be in a crate but that she would be sleeping in her bed and keeping her company. I am really proud that I was able to find her a home through RescueMe.Org. I have tried other sites but without any luck - I will definitely use this site again in case I need to find my dog, Zeus a home if he continues to misbehave. Maybe someone else has some ideas for him. Thanks Nicole

     My son brought Moose into our home last July as an 8 week old puppy. He was the most adorable pup we had ever seen. After a couple of months, my son got a new job and could not be home much and since my wife is ill, she could not have Moose loose in the house. So the poor boy spent far too many hours in his cage. My daughter and I took him out and cared for him, and played and walked him as much as possible, but it wasn't fair for a lovable dog with so much energy, so I listed him on your service. We had several inquiries very quickly, but we wanted the best for our beautiful boy. Moose was finally adopted by a family in Rhode Island. It was a perfect fit for him since this family has another male boxer and 3 young kids to play with. Also, they have a large fenced in yard so he can 'run free,' and we were promised that he would only be caged up to 5 hours per day. We miss him dearly but when we feel that sad empty feeling, we think of him running and playing at his new home. God bless you Moose. We miss you. Have the happy life you deserve. We're sorry we couldn't give it to you. Thank you so much for your service. I will recommend it for anyone who needs to give up a loved pet.

     I had listed Gracie with Rescue Me in hopes that someone who loves Boxers and had the patience to help her learn and grown would find her. Just about a week before Christmas I got an email from a young girl who was interested. I was weary at first because she was only going on 15. I spoke to her Mom on the phone and found that her daughter just has a huge heart for furry friends :). We had originally set up a date a few days from the day we spoke when my phone rang again and they asked if they would be able to make a trip over to get Gracie. They live several hours away and were more than willing to come to get her. What a Christmas gift she was getting. Gracie is a wonderful dog and I am glad she went to a very loving home. We miss her every day as she really was a lover (as you can see by the photo with my then 6 year old daughter). She was loved her and now loved in her new home. I thank Rescue Me for having such a site that people who are Boxer lovers can come to and find just the fur baby their home needs.

     Duke found a nice home! He went to a family that has 3 children. When the family came to pick him up he immediately took to them as he loves kids and people. The family said I could come visit any time I wanted to which I have not done yet as I want to give him time to get use to them. I know he will remember me when I do go visit because I loved him so.      Thanks to this website our son's dog has found a new family to love and be loved. Because of being sent to Korea for 2 years we brought his boxer/pit mix home with us and were really having a hard time keeping her separated from our three other dogs. She doesn't get along with other dogs and can be a danger to them. This is so sad because she is so loving with people. The fact that the boxer's name is Brenda, and my husband's sister-in-law who he absolutely adored is also named Brenda, I just had to save this dog. I looked up and told my husband, 'Ok, I got it, she is safe now.' I waited for weeks and kept calling to check on her until she was ready for me to take her home.      A wonderful couple saw the post and immediately and called to set up a time to see Cooper. They had been wanting a boxer for a while and he seemed like the right one.........they came over and met Cooper and I knew right away that they would be wonderful owners. She suggested the site to someone looking for a boxer puppy and, by request, I began receiving emails from the site. I knew that our home could not accommodate a male dog due to a loving, but grumpy, older boxer in the home, and when I saw the picture of ZuZu, I thought she was perfect! With the information provided on your site, and after speaking with the gentleman who was caring for her, I agreed to take her into our home.
