Rescue Me ID: 14-07-09-00623Faith (female)

Boxer Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

Faith is a wonderful, beautiful bull-terrier, boxer mix with a grey/brindle coat and white paws that look like white sneakers. She is a very loving and docile dog at home, but outside becomes one filled with anxiety. Although she loves to be outside, encountering other dogs evokes aggressive behaviors like rushing and barking from her. She has gotten along with dogs and cats in the past, but only in controlled instances. She does not seem to have a problem with people depending on their temperament. Needless to say, this is a very difficult decision. But, I lack the resources and experience to continue on with her. There is no doubt in my ... (Read More)mind that she can learn to socialize, but with someone who can give her what she needs to see that everything is OK. I will help with any rehoming costs, hold interviews, and have trial runs with any family interested to give her a forever home. Please contact me for more pictures or additional information. Thank you. (Less)

I am moving and cannot take Bree with me. It breaks my heart to have to rehome her, but I need to do what is best for her. She is incredibly sweet and lovable. She was raised, by my sister, as an outdoor dog, but became a house dog about 7 months ago when she came to live with me. She lived with myself, two other adults and three kids (8, 6, and 3) for a while. I want her to go to a home where she can get the opportunity to play frequently. She has an amazing energy level. She is two years old in July of 2014. She is 57 pounds.

Boxer Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

AVA was saved from a high kill SoCAL shelter only to be abandoned in a boarding facility where she sat for a very long time longing for a family of her own. She is still young (around a year) and an absolute love bug. She would be best to be in a home without children and perhaps as an only dog due to resource guarding after being neglected so long. Do you have room in your heart and home for AVA?

PIease Read Before Adopting a Boxer in Washington
Boxer Dogs can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.

lnteresting Boxer Trivia Low-Cost Washington Spay & Neuter Clinics
The name boxer originates from the fact that boxer dogs look like they are actually boxing when they play using their front paws. The boxer was originally bred from the English Bulldog and the now extinct Bullenbeisser. Approximately 1 in 5 boxers are born white, and almost 20% of white boxers are deaf.
