Boxer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Abused/Neglected, Fearful/Anxious

Oscar the Pitbull is a very loving dog and can never get his satisfaction of love and attention. He loves people and loves to cover you in kisses. Sept. 2014 he showed up to my old house and was very badly injured. He had 4 inches of bone sticking out of his tail, 20lbs under weight, and was very badly cut up. I dont know his background but since he has been with me I have been able to calm him down and teach him manners as well as a few tricks. He gets overly excited around other dogs and I have yet to be able to try and find a playmate for him so im not sure of his compatibility with other dogs. He loves humans and is never aggressive. He ... (Read More)was pretty timid but not so much anymore. He will jump or flinch at noises or if you move to fast towards him but he will never jump back at you aggressively. He just needs room to run and a home that can give him the attention that he needs. I am a full time student that lives in an apartment so he gets very bored and cooped up in a small apt. Please dont inquire unless you can give him enough attention. He is not a 'sit in a crate all day' kind of dog. After his rescue he does not like to be left alone or in enclosed spaces. (Less)

Boxer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi! My name is Duke and I am an energetic young adult male Boxer mix looking for a place to call home. Could that home be with you? I would love a family or single person to call my own. I am a very nice boy, and I get along great with people. I love children, and I do well with large dogs. I would be best in a home without small dogs because I have a strong prey drive. I'm sweet, affectionate, and I really love attention and affection from my humans. I'm learning how to walk on a leash and I'm doing better each day. I'm food motivated, so bribing me with treats has helped me excel in my training. Everyone says I'm a GREAT looking dog and ... (Read More)I've got the personality to match. As an added bonus, I'm fully house trained and crate trained. I am neutered, micro-chipped, and up to date on all my vaccinations. My adoption fee is $250. If you think you might have the right home for me, please visit the Valhalla Canine Rescue website at www.valhallarescue.org/ourdogs/adoptable and fill out an adoption application. My adoption fee allows Valhalla Rescue to continue to provide care and medical treatment (including spay/neuter services) for dogs like me while we look for our forever homes. This fee also helps cover the ongoing costs of caring for less adoptable dogs who require longer stays in the shelter, or more advanced medical treatment before finding their forever homes. Boxer    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This is Chum Lee. He is a 3 year old, neutered, male Boxer. He gets along well with other dogs and loves people, adults and children. He is kennel trained but has not been left loose in the house. Chum Lee loves to go for walks and will walk with anyone willing to go. He would be great for the runner/jogger/hiker. He is a very happy camper and needs room to run. He does behave well...but on occasion he will get the jitters (jumping in place) when he gets excited. This dog will be great for a family with kids. If you like Boxers...you'll love him. He does have a want to chase cats and a tall privacy fence is recommended. He is ... (Read More)up-to-date on all his vaccinations, and on heart worm prevent. Adoption Fee: $400 The fee includes all the medical, microchipping, health certificate, and travel to the PNW. He is currently in San Antonio and will be available for transport on 12 March...but he needs to be pre-adopted. We do not have a foster that can take him at this time. Boxer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Cats
Personality: Average Energy
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Sweet Sully! He's approx 5yrs old, maybe just a bit younger... and weighs about 45-50ish lbs. He's the perfect size medium dog for hiking, walking, car rides or just hanging out. He's an easy going guy that is perfect blend of: sometimes very affectionate and attentive... sometimes aloof and independent. Because he can be somewhat reserved, kids must be over 14yrs old. He's okay with polite dogs of like size and larger but absolutely no small dogs, cats or other critters for this adorable boy. He can be left home alone for a reasonable amount of hours and he must have a fenced backyard in which to run and play.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Boxer in Washington
Boxer Dogs can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.

lnteresting Boxer Trivia Low-Cost Washington Spay & Neuter Clinics
The name boxer originates from the fact that boxer dogs look like they are actually boxing when they play using their front paws. Boxer dogs are the sixth most popular breed in the United States. Approximately 1 in 5 boxers are born white, and almost 20% of white boxers are deaf.
