Animal ID: 17-05-20-00015Jinx (male)

Boxer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Jinx is a very laid back, two year old, playful style will melt your heart. He's a gorgeous mix. His head is undeniably boxer. He's black (small splotches of white), short fur, with a docked tail. We think there maybe some black lab in there. He's tall and between 50-60lbs. He is great with other dogs of all sizes but he does not care much for any of our bossy dogs. He completely loves people and truly thinks he's a lap dog. He is your dream come true if your in search of a real cuddle bug. He never seems to have a bad day. He as content as possible with whatever is going on. He would prefer to be close to you as often as he can be but he ... (Read More)also behaves well in a crate. He's housebroken and doesn't jump up. He is great on care rides. Jinx is also intelligent and a quick learner, who responds very well with both positive affirmation and with treat rewards. He will need help learning his basic commands but he has passed with flying colors the adjustments necessary to life in a family foster home with a dynamic pack. He has not been tested with cats or small children but I have not witnessed any fussing, fear, or anxiety from him. So, it would not surprise me if he was good in all settings. This week he goes to the doctor to be fully vetted. (Less)

Boxer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

TEDDY is a 4 year old Boxer/Bully mix male who was living life on a chain, neglected and abandoned. The rescue was contacted to help because Teddy was emaciated and in need of medical care and his owner was no longer there. He was rescued and has been off the chain and in a safe, loving foster home ever since. He was only 44 pounds when rescued but he has regained weight and is receiving the care and treatment needed to get back to being a healthy dog, ready to find a new home. He tested positive for heartworm and is currently receiving the treatment needed to rid him of heartworm. He should complete that treatment in late April. He ... (Read More)has been vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Teddy if it means he will have a good forever home. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)3 non-profit, all-volunteer rescue to cover at least part of the cost of the veterinary care this dog has received. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Boxer in Tennessee
Boxer Dogs can make good pets in Tennessee if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.

lnteresting Boxer Trivia Low-Cost Tennessee Spay & Neuter Clinics
The name boxer originates from the fact that boxer dogs look like they are actually boxing when they play using their front paws. Boxers were first introduced at a dog show in Munich, Germany in 1895. Boxer dogs are the sixth most popular breed in the United States.
