Joe was a neighbors dog, and then he went to another neighbor and came to me, I think at one point he was abused. He can be aggressive with other dogs especially male dogs. I have a female and he does well with her. He has some separation anxiety, he loves people but will bark and charge if he is unsure or scared. He loves to go for rides he has gone on trips with us and he does great walking and hiking if you are not with other dogs. He does charge other dogs out of fear, I think he has been attacked before. Joe and Nanna have escaped from my yard and he has gone after other dogs which is causing issues for me in my neighborhood. I have tried for almost two yrs now to make this work because my family and I love Joe dearly but he has made my dog aggressive and has caused her to go after other dogs this is not good. I am heart broken about this because he loves people he loves his home but I am at a loss. Please help me find him a place I can not have the police come and hurt him. He is great with people he thinks he is a lap dog with us, he sleeps in his crate. Please we need help for joe! (Less)

Boxer Dogs can make good pets in South Dakota if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.
