Harvey was in a program to make an assistance dog out of him, but his personality is a little too high energy to fit the bill. He has had some basic obedience, but he is too rambunctious to be with little children. He gets along extremely well with other dogs, and I would use caution around little dogs and cats, although it was told to me that he didn't mind the cats. He is a laid-back guy, eager to leave behind the kennel that has been his home for the past year and find the good dog loving home he deserves! Jet was surrendered by his former owners in February 2012, due to their inability to afford the diagnostics and treatment for his chronic GI problems. Boxer Dogs can make good pets in Ohio if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.
