Rescue Me ID: 14-08-16-00456Bella (female)
Bella is a beautiful brindle female pit mix and is 2 years old. Bella is fully trained and will always let you know if she has to go out side. Other than the fact she looks like a pit mix you would never know based on her temperament. She just loves to be loved and cared for. She LOVES attention and you will see her tail wag as fast as can be when you pay attention to her. Very mild mannered dog who gets along with everyone especially when they show her affection/attention. I am a single dad and we are sad to have to put her up for adoption but I had been downsized from my most recent job and shortly will be taking a new job in which I will not be home much of the time. Bella is good when left home during the day , just let her out a couple times a day and she is good. no mistakes in the house and like I said she will be sure to let you know when she has to go potty. There will be no rehoming fee and we are in the Syracuse area actually Manlius but are willing to meet the lucky new family within a 30 mile radius. Bella is an amazing family dog and as I had mentioned is an attention hound, just loves to be loved. Very easy maintenance, eats twice a day morning and dinner time. Not sure if I mentioned she is great with everyone children, adults and loves to lay with other dogs as well. One other great thing is she looks like a great watch dog but has a real cute female bark which makes you want to love her even more. One more mention,She tends to favor her one leg over the other and when she runs you can't even tell. Little Quirky thing about her I guess, she shows no pain from it and Iv'e rubbed it for her and no issues.I had brought her to a friend who raised pits and he said he had thought she had pulled a tendon in her one leg from running around. She LOVES to run around if you take her out. A Great dog for a single person or a family w children. She just needs lot of love. Well that's it, all we want is to know that Bella is going to a great home to be loved and taken care of as she has here in our home. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-07-11-00420Brooklyn (female)
A 6-7 month old small boxer mix with a white chest and an adorable under bite, Brooklyn has quickly become a staff favorite. Full of youthful enthusiasm, she also realizes when she should settle down. A social butterfly, she loves all people and other dogs as well. She was surrendered because her owner had too many animals. Having lived with other dogs, she would love to have a pal, so if you want to add to your pack, Brooklyn is the perfect addition. Come and meet this little dog; she is simply wonderful. For additional information, please phone Hi-Tor at 845-354-7900

Rescue Me ID: 14-07-05-00327Lulu (female)
Lulu is a deaf girl. We call her Luna as she is as white as the moon. We also use the sign for 'L'. She is a very sweet and loving dog. She is pretty quiet throughout the day. She naps a lot due to severe heart worms. She is currently undergoing treatment for the heart worms. She is learning signs and learning how to ring a bell to go outside to go potty. She is in the process of being house broken, mostly due to communication errors and she does not make a peep when she wants to go outside. Currently, she will go to the door and stare at it until she goes outside. When she wants to come in she will bark until you let her inside. She prefers not to be alone, she has to touch you a lot, to make sure you are still there. She is crated at night or when we have to leave to run errands. Sometimes it takes her 15 minutes to a half hour to calm down when she goes into her crate. Most times, however, she is really good and settles in quickly. She gets along well with other dogs. She loves to go on walks and car rides. She follows me around the house. Also, she loves to snuggle on the couch. She often tries to sneak into our bed, her little floppy ears and eyes staring at you. It's hard to resist her sometimes. Sometimes she barks at butterflies, lawn mowers or for no reason at all. She is quite a character and she is such a great dog. Rescue will bring her to an adopter if you can't go and pick her up. (Less)

A 3 year old Terrier mix, Connor has a taffy colored top with a white underside. He looks as if someone dipped him in a pool of white paint. |Rescue Me ID: 13-02-11-00138Dingo (male)|
Meet Dingo! He is a 3.5 year old, male boxer/pit mix. He is about 45 lbs, neutered, up to date on shots, crate trained, and house broken. He knows his basic commands and is good on a leash. He loves long walks and cuddling on the couch. He loves playing fetch. We need to find him a new home, as our household has 3 dogs (2 of which are senior and disabled), an toddler and another baby on the way. I started a new job that requires a great deal of travel and we just don't have the time to give him the activity he needs. He will be good with calm dogs and older children, and he would thrive in a home with an active family. We are desperate to find him a good forever home. Please feel free to contact me at 631-745-2607 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more info. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Boxer in New York
Boxer Dogs can make good pets in New York if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.
