Bingo is a fun loving big meatball! He is only 5 months old and already a whopping 49 lbs. This fun loving guy is going to be a 'big drink of water' and will need someone that has an understanding of large bully breed dogs. He is a very strong, smart boy, he knows his name, sit, paw and picks up very quickly. Bingo is an owner surrender by no fault of his own. His owner was incarcerated and his guardians knew they did not have the resources to continue to care for him. All adoptions include, age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter, lifetime registered microchip. http://furbridge.org/canine-applications/ Adoption Fee: $395 Transport $50 if required. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 17-03-05-00102Wally (male)|
Meet Wally! If we made a yearbook of all of our shelter dog's we are certain Wally would be voted 'Class Clown'! When we first met Wally he found himself surrendered to a local animal shelter at a very young age. No one understood him for who he truly is a lively adventure dog. You can say that with people he lacked the correct manners but with his four-legged friends he was the prime example of a fantastic canine. Wally quickly picked up the training we started with him and is always up for learning new things. As much as he depends on us to take care of him, we actually rely on him to assist us when teaching our other dogs how to correctly interact with their fellow dogs. Wally has had a lot of work building trust in people since a long time ago he was badly treated by the humans that were suppose to care for him. He now is a rising star here and we can't wait to see him in his new home! If you are in need of an adventure dog or know of someone that is please fill out an application or share Wally with them today! (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 17-02-27-00093Millie (female)|
Millie was born about August 19, 2016 and will top out about about 45 lbs. She is extremely sweet, fine with cats, and wonderful with the other dogs. It seems that she ended up at the shelter with her sister, Maisie and her mom, Mama Mia. We do not know how she ended up at a high kill shelter as little information is gathered by staff when pets are surrendered. So many times it is an embarrassing financial situation and it is felt it is unkind to ask. We will be learning as we go as will you.

|Rescue Me ID: 17-02-24-00088Chloe (female)|
Chloe is the perfect dog! She just is not a good fit for the city's scary, loud noises and other dogs. As we start to have children, we have come to the heart-breaking realization that she cannot be with small kids. It kills us, but we cannot keep her. She is incredibly low maintenance and loving--playful, gives loving kisses and wags her tail when you arrive, and will curl up next to you and sleep a ton. Please inquire and we can send you more photos and tell you all about her!

Nuke charlie is a loving, smart & playful boy! house trained, does tricks & loves to play fetch in the backyard. We have to find him a home because we have young children that make him uncomfortable & nervous. We had him meet with a dog behaviorist who advised us he should not be in a home with children under 12 years old, as he can be timid which can turn to fear aggression. We are heart broken this can not be resolved with training since his fear & being timid is prat of certain situations is part of his personality. Nuke just loves to be loved and play! |Rescue Me ID: 17-01-22-00082Emilia (female)|
With ears like Spock and eyes that soulful, Emilia makes for one adorable dog! Emilia is hoping that her striking looks and irresistible personality will get her into her forever home sooner than you can say 'I'll adopt her!'. She is hoping you will agree with the following reasons why she would be your perfect pet: Reason #1: No reasonable human could have Emilia lean against their leg and not want to pet her forever. Reason #2: With the hard start she has had to her life, Emilia is looking for a loving home that will provide her with the security and safety she has (probably) never known. Reason #3: Emilia originally came from Miami-Dade County Animal Services, which means she probably likes the beach and is already a seasoned traveler. She is now looking for a family that will want to take her on all of their adventures! If you or someone you know is in the market for an adventurous and wiggly companion, please click on the link below and fill out an adoption application! Adorable, sweet and loving, CC is an incredible canine! Her foster says she has the cutest face he has ever seen, and we agree! CC is great with other dogs. She loves her humans and adores to snuggle and cuddle. Cutest trait is she wraps herself totally in cocoons of blankets to sleep! She is working on her commands such as sit, stay and leave it. She is housetrained, and her leash manners are improving every day. CC's ideal home would be with someone who loves the breed, who understands her need for daily, sufficient exercise, for walks and hikes, etc. She'd do best with older kids, over twelve, because she is a bit jumpy. She would love a canine companion but will do fine as solo as well. CC is about 2 1/2 yrs old and weighs about 50lbs. She is utd on her vaccinations and is spayed. WANT TO VISIT THIS GREAT GIRL? Please reply here and her rescue will get right back to you, thanks! CC IS IN FOSTER IN BROOKLYN, NY (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 16-09-13-00411Quinn and Favre (male)|
Hi. My husband, children and I are currently closing on a house. The loan process has taken longer than usual and during that time the lease expired on the house we were renting and they want to sell it so we had to leave. We decided to stay at my parents instead of renting again because it has always been 'any time now' until we close and finding a place that will rent to pet owners is difficult. My parents do not want the dogs here either. They tried but we have two medium sized shepard /boxer mix younger dogs. They are hyper and tear through the house and still required a lot of supervision, especially in some one else's home, so they unfortunately spend a lot of time crated or tied up, which is unfair to them. However its also not fair to my parents to have dogs here if they don't want to. We don't want to get rid of them. Especially when 'any time now' we could get the keys to our new house. We can not afford to kennel them since all of our savings is going to closing on the house. Do you have any suggestions? Are there any agencies that will foster a dog temporarily? (Less)

|Animal ID: 31026753Santana (male)|
Well, this story is pretty upsetting, but we are hoping and praying that the happy ending is not too far away. This is Santana. Santana is a 2 year old, brindle beauty with the most adorable markings on his face. Santana was a chained dog, which in of itself is terrible. But when it's the middle of the night and neighbors are calling 911 due to an animal is distress, you know something more is going on. When we arrived at the scene, Santana was screaming and choking, foam was coming out of his mouth, his eyes were bulging out of his head, with less than 1 foot of chain for him to move. There was no food or water in the yard with him. There was no owner to be found. We quickly removed him from this critical situation, and rushed him back to the shelter for medical attention. Thankfully, there was no permanent damage, and Santana is now ready for his new life. We are suggesting Santana for a home with kids 13 and up!! He knows a few commands, and is dog friendly!! Please don't let this deserving boy wait! Please call for more information: 516-785-5220 or come visit us at: 3320 Beltagh Avenue, Wantagh NY 11793 (Less)

Zyra was born to us on March 9th 2015, she is great one on one. She is still a puppy and requires a firm hand. She loves to go for a walk and is good about not trying to lead. However she is causing a huge disruption in our home attacking our two other dogs. They are her parents and have had their occasional spats usually over food but at this point she is evening trying to attack her mother thru a metal kennel. On her own she loves to cuddle and give kisses. In the right home she would be a wonderful companion. She needs to be spayed by her new owner.

MEGAN DRAPER! How cute is she? She is a chunky, petite little ball of sweetness. She is a super good natured girl, who is overall very quiet and calm. She does bark when she needs to go outside, that's about it. And she does an adorable trilling sound when she's excited! She had been used as a helper dog at the shelter, that's how good she is with other dogs. Right now she is with three other dogs, and doing fantastic. Not demanding at all, she is very affectionate and cuddly. She's friendly with strangers, probably good with kids, too since she is not mouthy. She has shown no guarding issues at all. She is an angel in the crate, too. And she's completely housetrained. This exceptional girl is about 48 lbs. and about four years old. WANT TO VISIT? |PIease Read Before Adopting a Boxer in New York|
Boxer Dogs can make good pets in New York if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.
