Leland is a sweet and playful 4 year old, neutered, male. Leland was pulled from an over-crowded inner city shelter. Due to the commotion of other dogs barking, and fear of being in the crowded shelter, he began to hurt himself, constantly rubbing his face up against the kennel until his face began to bleed. Leland has received medical attention, and since leaving the crowded shelter, he has relaxed and now focuses all of his energy on cuddling! Leland is up to date on all vaccinations and microchipped. Boxer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Becca is a real cutie pie. She is part Pit and part Boxer or Pug. It's very hard to tell with her cute little face. The way she looks at you is adorable. She is calm, sweet, and very easy to handle. She walks fine on the lead & she releases the toys but had no idea what a raw hide was. Her food test was good. Becca sits for a treat, and attempts to do downs for it. I'm sure with a little more coaching she will master the down in no time. She is good with other dogs and is a total delight. Very adoptable, people focused and lovable.

Boxer Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

King is a recent, one year old owner surrender due to relocation of his family. He is extremely handsome, well built and spotlessly clean. Heads will definitely turn when you walk this handsome boy down the street. He walks nicely on the lead & handles very well. King knows how to sit for a treat and takes it gently. His food test was excellent. He wasn't interested in neither the toy nor the rawhide. King is sweet with people, cuddles like a pro and very people focused. He would do best as the only dog. He did not seem fond of other dogs once outside.

Boxer Mix    Age: Puppy

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Poor Simba came into the shelter very thin, when I offered him food he ate like he hadn't had a meal in days. But he showed no aggression at his food bowl. He is a one year old, small Boxer-mix. He was very easy to handle but he grabs the treats a little hard probably from being under-fed by his owner but that is easily corrected with a little training. He is a very friendly boy. He released the raw hide when asked but wasn't interested in the toy. Simba was good with the other dogs outside and will make a nice family pet. He sure could use some love and TLC now from a good owner.

Boxer Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Mandy is looking for that special someone who can see her beauty and help her feel safe. She takes a little time to warm up to a new person, or dog either, but once she trusts you she gives her heart. At ~5 years young she is past the wild puppy stage and would prefer not to have to deal with that much energy in her family or doggie friends. Mandy loves to go on walks and is great in the car. She plays nicely with well behaved dogs after an initial meet and would like a companion to help her feel secure. Children would probably be too much action for her. Also, Mandy is a talker, not so much a barker but when she is excited or upset she ... (Read More)makes a lot of noise. Her family should be experienced with reactive dogs or willing to learn. She comes with some training sessions included with the adoption. This lady is such a diamond in the rough. Are you that special someone who can polish her into the loving dog that she is inside?     KING is a recent owner surrender only 12 months old and what a gorgeous looking dog he is. Heads will turn when you walk him down the street. His owner took good care of him and he is spotless. He walks fine on the lead. He handles nice, he likes people and is very comfy with them, and cuddly, very sweet. He sits for a treat and is very gentle taking it and had a good food test. Didn't have any interest in the toys or raw hide. I don't think he was socialized with other dogs. He comes up to them, is silent for several seconds and then loudly barks and snarls at them. He needs to be the only dog.

Hi,my boxer, Griffin, turned 3 in April. He is a very friendly, good boy who gets along with all dogs, children and adults. I am looking to find him an awesome home, preferably on a farm where he has lots of room to run around, play with other dogs and be free. Last year in June while my neighbor was watching him for a few days, he had a seizure/seizures. He is doing great now. He's not even taking his Keppra anymore. He has however, been going to the bathroom in my house since the seizure. It's like he lost a piece of his mind. He goes to the bathroom outside, but also goes in my house. He also does not show us any affection anymore which ... (Read More)is super sad to me. I just don't think he's happy at my house anymore. He is truly his happiest when he is running around at the dog park or in a yard where he can just run freely. I'm looking for a family who understands his potty issues and has a huge yard where he can spend most of the day outside playing and somewhere he won't get yelled at for going to the bathroom inside a house. He's really a great dog and I love him so much but it's not fair to keep him here when I know he deserves a greater life where he can be so happy. Please email me if you feel you are a perfect fit for my Griffin. Thank you for your time, Kellie Villano kogie11@verizon.net (Less)

Buddy is a great dog and we are stunned he has been with us for so long now. Buddy is a happy guy that enjoys playing, napping and the company of his fur foster brothers. He's housetrained and crate trained. Buddy's story... Buddy came to us from Miami-Dade animal shelter. He was adopted out as a puppy and returned at 10 months old. A rescue put in to pull him but backed out at the last minute. The shelter reached out for help and Buddy came to us. He has a slight deformity on one side of his skull which left him with a slightly'wonky' eye. The veterinarians feel he suffered from two separate blows to his head as a young puppy, resulting in ... Buddy would do best in a home with adults or older children and would love someone active to run and play with. He is 3 years old and weighs about 70lbs. PIease Read Before Adopting a Boxer in New Jersey
Boxer Dogs can make good pets in New Jersey if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.

Boxer
lnteresting Boxer Trivia Low-Cost New Jersey Spay & Neuter Clinics
The name boxer originates from the fact that boxer dogs look like they are actually boxing when they play using their front paws. The boxer was originally bred from the English Bulldog and the now extinct Bullenbeisser. Boxer dogs are the sixth most popular breed in the United States.
