Animal ID: Petey Kisses - ANPetey Kisses (male)

Boxer Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Look at that smile! Petey is such a happy boy! Although he had leg surgery and was in pain for a while, his spirits still remained high. Petey is a very friendly and loving boy! He loves his people and is very loyal. He gets along with some dogs, but is on the dominant side, so a submissive playmate would be ideal. He is 6 years old, is housetrained and knows his basic commands. He loves to cuddle and loves toys!! He has waited a long time to find a home, and we are hoping there is someone out there who will make Petey part of their family. The good news is that Petey does have a medical sponsor, so if anything comes up (outside of the ... (Read More)normal costs that come along with owning a pet), Petey will be financially covered. If you are looking for a happy and loving boy to make part of your family, then we hope you will consider meeting Petey! (Less)

Animal ID: Ciroc - ANCiroc aka Ricky (male)

Boxer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Look at this handsome boy! Ricky has had a rough start in life but since the Animal Network rescued him from the shelter several months ago he has made tremendous progress! While Ricky can be dog selective, he is currently living in a foster home with 3 other large dogs and is very respectful of the pack. With the proper introduction, Ricky can get along good with new dogs about his size. Especially the females!! What a flirt he is. Thanks to the donations of generous people, Ricky is currently undergoing professional dog training and what an obedient dog he has become! Ricky can sit, lay down, give you a hand shake, responds great to the ... (Read More)recall command and walks right by your side on a leash. He is also house trained and crate trained and uses a doggie door with no problem. This sweet boy loves to cuddle next to his human buddy on the couch. Yet, he can spend endless time playing fetch with his favorite tennis ball. Ricky is a very smart boy and would do well in a family with an active lifestyle with such activities as daily walks, running, or hiking etc. Because he is a strong boy, we recommend families with no small children under the age of 15. As part of the adoption fee, Ricky's new family will also receive a free private session with the trainer and several group trainings in efforts to maintain the consistency in his ongoing training. PIease Read Before Adopting a Boxer in Nevada
Boxer Dogs can make good pets in Nevada if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.

lnteresting Boxer Trivia Low-Cost Nevada Spay & Neuter Clinics
The name boxer originates from the fact that boxer dogs look like they are actually boxing when they play using their front paws. The boxer was originally bred from the English Bulldog and the now extinct Bullenbeisser. Boxers were first introduced at a dog show in Munich, Germany in 1895. Boxer dogs are the sixth most popular breed in the United States. Approximately 1 in 5 boxers are born white, and almost 20% of white boxers are deaf.
