Jack came to us very timid and stand-offish. With a little love an attention he came out of that shell and is just a happy go lucky kind of dog that wants nothing more than to pal around with anyone who pays him attention. No images or descriptions can convey this boy's personality. He just wiggles all over when he knows you are coming to play. Jack loves attention and shows signs of being an indoor dog at one time. Jack weighs about 45-50 lbs. He's ready to play when you are. He's up to date on shots, dewormed, and microchipped. Please come out to the rescue and visit with Jack and see for yourself what a big, loving, goof he is. We just ...     Hi, I'm Boris. Did you ever have one of those days that you thought 'this might be it for me?' I have and let me tell you, it's not a good feeling. I was hit by a car and I thought that might be it but in reality, I didn't get hurt too badly. Now things are looking up because I have a chance to get a good home instead of risking my life by living out on the streets. A good home; do you have one of those for me?

Rescue Me ID: 14-08-04-00501Buddy (male)

Boxer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Buddy so deserves a loving home to call his own! We got him out of poor living conditions; he needed to put weight on and be de-wormed. He is looking much better now and loving the attention he gets. (We have photos of his condition when we found him if you would like to see them.) Buddy loves long walks; car rides and he is good on a leash. He knows basic commands. Buddy is approx. 5 years old, vet tells us he is a boxer/lab mix, we see a bit of American Bulldog too. We believe he is housetrained or it would take very little to be. He does not do well with cats, we are working on it, and see great improvement. He is good with kids, but ... (Read More)due to his size 10 & up would be best. He would make a great farmer or cowboys/girl companion who would like to have a ride along dog in the pick-up. He loves car rides! Rescue Me ID: 13-08-30-00024Daisy Duke (female)

Boxer Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Daisy Duke is an athletic gal with lots of energy. She loves children so she would make a a great addition to an active home. She has a good balance of rest time too! Daisy is dog-tolerant & would be best suited as an only dog home or a very slow introduction with a very secure, well-balanced dog. Daisy is very treat motivated so training her could be a sinch. She already knows 'sit', 'shake', & 'down'. She is mostly potty-trained; probably was at one-time but has lost some of that due to being at the shelter. Daisy does well in a crate too. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, & heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $150. Interested? ... (Read More)Please visit www.DogsbyDebin.com to fill out an online adoption application. PIease Read Before Adopting a Boxer in Missouri
Boxer Dogs can make good pets in Missouri if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.

lnteresting Boxer Trivia Low-Cost Missouri Spay & Neuter Clinics
The name boxer originates from the fact that boxer dogs look like they are actually boxing when they play using their front paws. The boxer was originally bred from the English Bulldog and the now extinct Bullenbeisser. Boxers were first introduced at a dog show in Munich, Germany in 1895.
