Hello world my name is Jessie (my foster mom calls me Jessie Mc Wiggle Butt) and I'm a 14 month old Boxer that just entered the RPSM Prison Program where I will learn all my basic commands and maybe some cute tricks. I love people and I am so happy just to be petted and loved on. I get so excited when my (human) foster brother plays with me and pets me. I like my foster sisters (dogs) a lot to even the grumpy older girl. She doesn't like to play much but I will lay down by her and roll the ball at her and sometimes I can get her to roll it back. My other foster sister, Zoey, is young like I am and we play really well together with our toys. ... (Read More) My foster mom will give me a treat and I take it so gently and then I will go into the other room where I play with it and leave it for my sisters because I am a gentlemen. I would probably do best in a home with children 8 years old and up just because I am still a puppy and don't realize how big I am yet. I would also like an active home, playing fetch or going for a run. If I sound like your kind of dog please fill out an application to adopt me. I'm neutered and UTD on all my vaccines, HW, and FT. I have a microchip in case I get lost and will require a fenced in yard, either physical or underground to keep me safe. RPSM recommends children 8 years and older. If you are interested in adopting me, please go to www.rpsm.org to fill out an application. My adoption fee is $300. (Less)

Rust with white. Build of boxer, other than mix with pit, he also has a bit of Lab in him. He is a good dog loveable,I've had him since he was 2 months old. Current on all shots, comes with vet records and rabies tag. He has too much energy for the house, but the biggest plus is he is good with children of all ages and including special needs children. He needs a good home with someone who has the room for him to exert his energy.

He everybody!! My name is Chet and I'm a really smart boy that just graduated from my RPSM Prison Training Program in Coldwater, MI. I learned all my basic commands while in training and even had a video made so you could see me in action!! I'm approximately 1 year and 10 months old and I just want to find a forever home of my own!! Don't get me wrong, I really do like my foster home, I just want to be like the other dogs that were with me in my training program that found their own forever homes. My foster mom says that I don't walk; I prance gracefully everywhere I go. She says that I pick up my feet so high that I almost 'prance' like a ... (Read More)horse. If you come and meet me in my foster home, you will get to see my 'prance' in person and I'm sure you will fall in love with my big brown eyes and goofy ears. I really like to snuggle so we can keep each other warm on chilly nights. I love to play with squeaky toys so I hope that my new home will have plenty of those to play with!! I'm a little too much for most cats so a home with NO CATS is best. The RPSM folks said that I must tell you about my vision so you won't be surprised when you adopt me. Last year, I was diagnosed with Toxoplasmosis which caused my retinas to be severely inflamed and I couldn't see things in the dark very well and I kept bumping into things (that's how my trainers knew something might be wrong with my vision). The good people of RPSM took me to the Vet Specialist to get treated with antibiotics and my vision has gotten remarkably better!! On March 17th I saw the eye specialist for a final recheck of my eye, and the vet says I do have some scarring on my eye from the inflammation I experienced last year and it limits my vision in dark areas and I need to be introduced to dark areas slowly so that I'm not scared and I can build confidence when I'm in those dark areas as I settle in my new home. The Specialist also said that my eye will not get any worse and will not progress over time. So if you are willing to help with the dark areas in your home and when I go outside at night, please fill out your application to adopt me!! Once your application is approved, you can come meet me in my foster home!! I'm neutered, UTD on all shots and on FT and HW preventative. RPSM recommends a home with children 6 years and older, NO CATS, and a standard fence because of my limited vision. My adoption fee is $150. Please go to www.rpsm.org to fill out an application to adopt me. (Less)

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant

Calvin is a sweet and friendly young dog. He is energetic and eager to please. Calvin is a bright boy who already knows 'sit' and 'stay.' With the right family, Calvin will grow into an awesome dog. An experienced bully breed owner and obedience training would be the ideal fit for this active boy who is still learning proper dog etiquette. Families with young children would not be the best fit for Calvin. Stop by and visit with this charming pup.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Boxer in Michigan
Boxer Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.

lnteresting Boxer Trivia Low-Cost Michigan Spay & Neuter Clinics
The name boxer originates from the fact that boxer dogs look like they are actually boxing when they play using their front paws. The boxer was originally bred from the English Bulldog and the now extinct Bullenbeisser. Boxer dogs are the sixth most popular breed in the United States. Approximately 1 in 5 boxers are born white, and almost 20% of white boxers are deaf.
