Rescue Me ID: 16-06-14-00746Reeseycup (male)

Boxer    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Arthritis

Meet Reeseycup! Reese is a senior who needs lots of TLC. Reese was a rescue dog that we took in at the age of 3, according to the foster parents. The vet guessed him to be around 10 years old now. He was my sons dog, but due to unfortunate circumstances, he cannot afford to take care of him anymore. Reeseycup used to be great around all dogs and children but has become impatient and irritable with them in his old age. He needs a home with no children. We have 3 other dogs that live in the same home and he gets along great with them but I honestly can't say how he would do around other animals. I just want him to go to a good, loving, home. He ... (Read More)loves attention and cuddling. To the right person, he'd be a best friend (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-05-30-00292Jane (female)

Boxer Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Needs Vaccinations

Jane is only 7 month old and a bundle of joy. She is a typical puppy that loves to explore and needs to be in everyone's business. She walks well on a gentle leader, does well in her crate, properly introduced she seems to get along with pretty much every dog but likes to stretch her boundaries. She seems to have some pray drive so she would be better in a home without cats. She does ok with kids but keep in mind, she is a puppy and wants to play and will outrace everyone for a ball.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Boxer in Maryland
Boxer Dogs can make good pets in Maryland if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.

lnteresting Boxer Trivia Low-Cost Maryland Spay & Neuter Clinics
The name boxer originates from the fact that boxer dogs look like they are actually boxing when they play using their front paws. Boxers were first introduced at a dog show in Munich, Germany in 1895. Approximately 1 in 5 boxers are born white, and almost 20% of white boxers are deaf.
