Chili is a well-behaved pit/boxer/hound mix. He's very playful and enjoys going running, running around in fields, and roughhousing with other dogs at the park. He has some moderate socialization issues and requires attention when approaching new dogs, especially when the other dog is on-leash. He was a stray found in Richmond, VA, and has been leash-trained, fully vaccinated, and he responds to Sit, Stay, Heel, Shake, Lay Down, Go to your bed, Play Dead, and Roll Over. He's a very good dog, excellent with children and other pets, but I have come to realize that my work life, travel, and my temperament are not a great match for this dog. I ... PIease Read Before Adopting a Boxer in Maryland
Boxer Dogs can make good pets in Maryland if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.

lnteresting Boxer Trivia Low-Cost Maryland Spay & Neuter Clinics
The name boxer originates from the fact that boxer dogs look like they are actually boxing when they play using their front paws. The boxer was originally bred from the English Bulldog and the now extinct Bullenbeisser. Boxers were first introduced at a dog show in Munich, Germany in 1895.
