Rescue Me ID: 18-01-05-00272Quazi (male)

Boxer Mix    Age: Puppy

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

https://beautiesandbeasts.org/adopt/our-dogs/quazi This guy is a pleaser and loves praise. He's very adapting and happy all the time. He gets along with his three foster dog siblings well. He isn't a fan of the leash right now but we are working on that. He loves to explore. He's easy to teach things to - he loves the attention and doesn't realize he's learning. He is potty-trained. He entertains himself while his foster mom works from home. Quazi doesn't seem to like the toys IN the basket - he prefers them scattered all over the house. He likes to play fetch. He is crate-trained and doesn't mind his big crate. He has become an avid bird ... (Read More)watcher at his foster home. Quazi is going to make someone an amazing best friend! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-05-19-00057Gremlin (male)

Boxer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This handsome fellow is Gremlin! Gremlin is a 3 year old boxer/lab mix who has not had the easiest time in life. We met Gremlin when we went on a training consultation with a shelter in Parsons, KS. Gremlin had lived in this shelter since he was a puppy and the loud, chaotic shelter life had really weighed on him. We went just to give the shelter employees some training advice for how to better handle Grem but quickly decided we couldn't leave without him. Gremlin is a dominant dog who needs some patience, structure, and discipline to help him adjust to living in a home. In the few weeks we have had Gremlin, we have seen him transform from ... (Read More)extremely wary and afraid to a happy, loveable guy. He knows his basic commands and loves treats, wags his whole body when he's happy to see you, and enjoys spending time outdoors. We believe that because Gremlin is still adjusting to this new way of life, that he would do best in a home without small children. Gremlin is a funny little guy who has been waiting for more than 3 years for someone to come along and give him a chance (and continued training). We know that person is out there somewhere and we want to help make Gremlin's new home last forever. If you are interested in adopting Gremlin, please send us a message or read over our policies at GypsySoulRR.com/Policies and fill out a dog Adoption Application at GypsySoulRR.com/Forms. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Boxer in Kansas
Boxer Dogs can make good pets in Kansas if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.

lnteresting Boxer Trivia Low-Cost Kansas Spay & Neuter Clinics
The name boxer originates from the fact that boxer dogs look like they are actually boxing when they play using their front paws. The boxer was originally bred from the English Bulldog and the now extinct Bullenbeisser. Boxers were first introduced at a dog show in Munich, Germany in 1895. Boxer dogs are the sixth most popular breed in the United States.
