Loves having his belly rubbed and being brushed. Loves to cuddle at night. Hasn't really been introduced to any cats so not completely sure how he would do around them. Must live indoors, Completely house broken does not need to be kenneled or crated when home alone. He loves to go for walks/runs, definitely helps him to get exercise. Born September 13, 2008.

These precious babies came from a kill shelter in Southern Oklahoma. They were flown to us here in Chanute by Pilots N Paws. They are what we believe to be Boxer/Mastiff mixes. They are around 12 weeks old, have been spayed/neutered, have had 2 in the series of Parvo vaccines, had had their Rabies vaccine, have been started on Flea/HW preventative and are microchipped. They are super sweet babies that are ready for their own families! We are asking for a $250 adoption donation to help cover the expenses for the animals in our care and the animals in our community. Urgent: This animal could be euthanized if not adopted soon.

Rescue Me ID: 14-06-07-00183roscoe (male)

Boxer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Female Dogs Only
Personality: High Energy, Submissive
Health: Needs to be Neutered

I have found a medium size copper colored pit bull mix along US HWY 54. He is a young dog that appears to be in fairly good health. Roscoe appears to be shy of men and initially was very submissive. He has warmed up a great deal and is now wagging his tail and happy to interact with myself and my husband. He wants to play with my dogs but they are being territorial and trying to fight with him. He had a collar on with no tags. I would love to find him a home if anyone is interested. Thanks.

This wonderful little girl is Flora.Flora is the tan cutie with the cutest fly away ears you've ever seen. She is a 1 yr old Boxer/Beagle mix and came to us with her sister Fauna from an Oklahoma shelter. They were at high risk for euthanization but when we saw them, we KNEW they had to get out! She and her sister are in a foster home and her foster mom reports she is just as special as we thought she was. She is a little more reserved than her sister Fauna. She is loving, gets along with other dogs and is very bonded with her sister. We would LOVE to find a home for them together, but would not turn town the right home for them ... (Read More)independently. She does need to be in a home with another dog as she is not used to being by herself. She is house trained, spayed and up to date on her shots. Please consider her or better yet BOTH of these lovely girls! (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Boxer in Kansas
Boxer Dogs can make good pets in Kansas if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.

lnteresting Boxer Trivia Low-Cost Kansas Spay & Neuter Clinics
The name boxer originates from the fact that boxer dogs look like they are actually boxing when they play using their front paws. Boxers were first introduced at a dog show in Munich, Germany in 1895. Boxer dogs are the sixth most popular breed in the United States. Approximately 1 in 5 boxers are born white, and almost 20% of white boxers are deaf.
