Boxer Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed

Pretty 'sisters' Diamond (black cattledog/shepherd) and Jane (brindle boxer/lab/hound) are both spayed 8 year olds and have lived together their whole life. Their owner passed away so they came to the shelter in early January. We would love to find a home where these girls can stay together. The girls are friendly and playful and walk very nicely on leashes together! Jane and Diamond know how to sit politely! Jane and Diamond seem to do better with smaller dogs. They are both very affectionate and loving girls. Belly rubs are Jane's favorite and Diamond loves to play with squeaky toys. Will you give them a loving forever home together?

Boxer Mix    Age: Puppy

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

***PLEASE NOTE -- THIS IS A COURTESY POST. SODA POP IS WITH ANOTHER RESCUE. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING HER, PLEASE EMAIL: lisa@hotblownglass.com****** Soda Pop- boxer/pitty mix Soda Pop A cutie pop! Soda Pop is 1-2 yrs old. @ 50lbs. She is current on shots and spay. All my rescues go to their new homes microchipped, heart worm negative and on preventative. Soda Pop came to me as a stray. But it is apparent she has lived in a home. She loves a snuggly bed. Loves to sit in a chair and hang out with you. She can play ball and tugowar and also can self entertain by playing ball by tossing it around herself and retrieving it. She is ... (Read More)crate trained and house trained. She takes gentle snack bites and has no food aggression. Soda Pop pals around with another male dog/plays and chases. Unknown @ cats or small dogs. She is super calm at bath time in the shower. And has waded into shallow pool no problem-but sure is she will swim. Soda Pop knows basic commands and has not had any indoor accidents. She is a gal that can easily move home with you straight away with only minor additional training to adjust to your house rules. Soda Pop is still a little rambunctious and sometimes has too much fun on leash during walks but her smiley happy personality lets you just chuckle at her. (Less)

Boxer Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Loki is a 1-2 year old boxer husky mix. He has a gorgeous color and wonderful blue eyes. He is very energetic and loves to run outside and play. He likes other dogs and generally ignores cats. He gets very lonely and whiny when left at home alone. That being said, having a doggy playmate would cut back on his loneliness. He is crate trained and housebroken. He walks pretty well on a leash and listens very well. He loves people especially 10 and older. He is sometimes slow to warm up to smaller children; however with proper introductions he will most likely warm up and be very loving. If you believe Loki is the perfect fit please contact us.

Boxer Mix    Age: Puppy

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Loki. This baby seems to be a misunderstood guy who keeps getting bounced around from one home to the next. His last owners got him off of Craigslist and surrendered him after just 7 days. It just seems so unfair that he can't just be loved and spoiled like all dogs deserve. Loki is about 1-2 years old; we're thinking closer to 1 though. As for breeds, we're guessing boxer/husky mix. he weighs about 50 pounds, making him a perfect medium dog. Loki is a silly, bouncy goof who loves attention and to play fetch. He is just so happy getting attention and running around in the yard. He seems to do well with all other dogs who like him. He ... (Read More)has a lot of energy, so a doggy playmate will have to be of similar size and energy. We don't know how he is with cats. Loki would prefer to be around older, more predictable children who know how to treat him. We're thinking10+ is probably a good starting age. Loki is looking for a home that will give him plenty of exercise and work on some of his manners. Clearly in the process of being tossed from one home to the next, no one bothered to teach him not to jump and how to walk on leash. He does know some other basic commands such as sit and shake. His recall is pretty good too. Loki is up to date on shots, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He will also soon be neutered. So far, Loki appears to be housebroken. He does not like to be crated and would do best being confined to a room or free roaming. If you would like to offer Loki a foster or forever home please fill out an application at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com or email us at pawswapofgreaterlafayette@aol.com or private message us on Facebook. Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Meet Roxie. She is a super cute and super spunky 2.5-year-old boxer. She was found as stray, but no one claimed her. The finder wanted to help Roxie, took her to the vet, and received the news that Roxie is heartworm positive. We reached out and offered to help because, as a rescue, we have more resources than the average person and we know what a huge expense the treatment is. Roxie is very sweet, very friendly, and very bouncy. In other words, she is a typical boxer. She loves other dogs, but shouldn't be around cats. She isn't aggressive, but definitely wants to chase. We recommend her being around older kids because of her desire to ... (Read More)jump and because of the treatment that will be going through. Here is a little info about Roxie's treatment. She will have a couple of visits to receive her shots and to make sure the worms are gone. She is not 'sick' in the way many people might think. She acts normal and looks normal because she is in the very early stages. She will require a lot of leash walks and crate rest during the treatment. We have some tools and suggestions for helping her through the boring crate life which will keep her mind active when her body shouldn't be. Keep in mind that heartworms are transmitted through mosquito bites. If the animals in the home are on heartworm preventatives, there is no risk. Now let us clarify a foster-to-adopt home because we get asked quite a often. We only officially adopt out dogs who are fully vetted. If the dog is not yet vetted, we need a place for the dog to go while we take care of whatever needs to be taken care of. The foster home is asked to work with us to get the dog to vet appointments. Of course we pay for the vet bills. After the vetting is complete, the foster becomes the adopter. If you would like to help us help Roxie please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. If you have any questions, please find us on Facebook or email us at pawswapofgreaterlafayette@aol.com. Roxy's adoption fee is $175. (Less)

She does not tolerate being crated or separated from her humans, I won't underemphasize this. She has been happy to roam freely in and out of our home, does perfect with a wireless retainer collar. Boxer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered

Meet Cuda. He is a 5-year-old boxer/lab mix who needs a new forever home. He and his brother have been having scuffles lately and it has started to become more intense and more frequent as time has gone on. We cannot blame Cuda or his brother. They are two male dogs who, until very recently, were both intact. The decision was made that the pup who came last has to go. That is Cuda. When we first met Cuda, he was very nervous being in a strange environment around a lot of new people and doggy smells. As time went on, he loosened up and showed what a sweetheart he is. We do think he should be an only dog because of the situation with his ... (Read More)brother. We'll err on the side of cautious. Cuda has never lived with cats, but does want to chase the ones he sees outside along with rabbits and squirrels. Cuda has been around children of all ages and enjoys their company. We would like to see Cuda go to an active home where he can take walks or go on hikes; he is used to that. He would do best in a fenced yard because he loves to run. Cuda is very trustworthy in the home. He is currently restricted to one room when left unsupervised, but he could adjust to a crated lifestyle too. He is also solidly housebroken. Cuda is now neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and microchipped. If you would like to offer Cuda a forever home please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. This is the first step of the adoption process.     Tank: 6 year old boxer good with most dogs, needs to be in a home with a female experienced dog owner, potty trained Fee $150 6 year old Tank is incredibly handsome! With his well-muscled form and sleek chestnut coat, he attracts admirers wherever he goes. He's an active boy who will be happiest with a fenced-in yard in which he can run and play. Tank does fine with most dogs but wouldn't mind being an 'only child' so that he could get all the attention. He's incredibly loyal to his 'people' and enjoys spending lots of time with them. He's had limited social experiences so gets a little nervous in rambunctious situations; ... (Read More)therefore, he would do best in a home without kids. He is potty trained and well-mannered in the home but does pull a bit on a leash; although he knows some basic commands - such as 'sit' and 'down' - an obedience class would help increase his confidence in new situations. Tank is just waiting for the perfect someone to give him the home he deserves; let us know if you think you are that person! His adoption fee is $150; he's neutered, microchipped and current on vaccinations. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Boxer in Indiana
Boxer Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.

lnteresting Boxer Trivia Low-Cost Indiana Spay & Neuter Clinics
