I'm the Boomer, the boom boom man and I am just as loveable as I am cute. Before I come to live with my foster mom, life was kinda hard for me. When I was a young puppy I had to have my back leg removed or I could of died. My family didn't have time for me so I just lived outside by myself. I didn't do anything but lay around and eat whatever I could find. I was really heavy and had a hard time getting around. Since I come here I been eating some good food and lost a little weight. I am still building up my strength and may get a little wobbly sometimes but I can run and do about anything I want. If I fall I just get right back up ... (Read More)and do it again. I am a pretty good boxer boy and always eager to learn to make you happy. I loves everybody I meet, especially the little people's-they are the funnest. I do like playing with my boxer friends and other dogs but sometimes they want to pick on me or gang up on me so I just stick by myself a lot. I can sit and stay some of the time. I hardly ever pull on leash and will come to you when called. I am starting to like car rides as I learn how to keep my balance. I'm doing great with learning not to go potty in the house but I have to get out there fast first thing in the morning or there could be an accident. I'm not crazy about that crate thing but will go in if I have to. I don't like it when you leave me though-I get really scared when I cannot see you. I am trying to be brave but I am only 1 year old and have to learn. My foster mom says I am doing better when left for short periods of time. I sure hope my new family won't have to leave me by myself very much-that would be the best! Adoption application can be found at www.boxerrescueofidaho.org (Less)

Say hello to Natasha (Tasha), Tasha is a 3 year old fawn boxer. She is a happy and lovable girl that loves to play with her toys. Tasha is ready to please from the moment you meet her. She will play fetch, and loves to look to the sky and chase the birds that fly by. Tasha is not a barker and is happy to meet anyone raising her paw up for a quick shake and then wants a quick scratch behind the ear. Although Tasha is good with people to include children she has a fear of other dogs and will become aggressive to them. We have been working with her to overcome this and some progress has been made. Tasha is not a cat lover and will chase ... (Read More)cats, we have been working hard to stop this problem. She is a very intelligent and loving dog and would make an excellent best friend in a home without other dogs or cats. (Less)

My name is Joanie and I am 1 ½ years old. I am a smaller boxer girl, weighing only 36 pounds. I'm also about the best little cuddle snuggle bug there is. I am the happiest when I am playing with my stuffies and the squeakers - my foster mommy says that my new name is going to be squeaker. I would like it if my forever family had some of the little ones cas they are my best friends. I love playing with them and don't even care if they forget and pull my tail or ears. I even let them take my ball out of my mouth but the best is when I gets to cuddle with my friends. I'm really good about not going potty in the house and I will ... (Read More)stay in the crate thing if I really have to. I like to go on car rides and I'm learning not to pull so much on the leash. I know how to sit but still working on the stay. It is really hard cause I like to be next to you. If I could be the only dog that would be the greatest!! I don't know what to think about other dogs-part of me is excited but then I get really scared and try to be the tough guy. My foster mommy says that I am doing lots better and I am easily redirected. I mind good when she says no. I have been waiting a long time for my forever family!! I hope they find me soon. PIease Read Before Adopting a Boxer in Idaho
Boxer Dogs can make good pets in Idaho if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.

lnteresting Boxer Trivia Low-Cost Idaho Spay & Neuter Clinics
The name boxer originates from the fact that boxer dogs look like they are actually boxing when they play using their front paws. The boxer was originally bred from the English Bulldog and the now extinct Bullenbeisser. Boxers were first introduced at a dog show in Munich, Germany in 1895. Boxer dogs are the sixth most popular breed in the United States. Approximately 1 in 5 boxers are born white, and almost 20% of white boxers are deaf.
