As you can see in the smaller photo above, 12-year old Cheyenne had a huge cancer tumor growing on her left eye.
She was accepted this week into Boxertown's retirement home located on 135-acres in rural Georgia. In addition to
having the mass on her eye removed this week, she also had a smaller mass removed from her abdomen. The cost
for this surgery which took over 6 hours will likely be over $1,000 when we receive the final bill. Any assistance
with a donation toward her veterinary bills will be appreciated, and will allow us to help more boxers like her.

(Pluto is living at Boxertown's 135-Acre Boxer Retirement Home and is not up for adoption.)
Pluto, the Pure Bred boxer above was rescued a few weeks ago from Jacksonville, Florida by Boxertown founder Jeff Gold. He is about 13-years old.
In just two weeks he has already put on over 10 pounds, and is close to what should be his healthy normal weight. Above Pluto is 11-year old Boba,
and below is 8-year old boxer girl Pups. Please MAKE A DONATION so we can continue to rehabilitate more elderly and injured boxers.

Boxer Dogs can make good pets in Georgia if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.
