I have two adult boxers, one male and one female. Female is 11 yrs old, male is 9 1/2, that I need to find a loving home for. I have had both since they were 8 weeks old. They are a part of our family and will be hard to part with, but a recent divorce has made it impossible for them to receive the time and attention that they need. They need a fenced in backyard and lots of affection. They are extremely affectionate and love to just lay around. The male has anxiety issues and likes to be around someone constantly, that is why they must go as a pair. I have children, so being around kids is not a problem. They are very protective, so not good with other dogs. Nobody is home during the day, so looking for a home where they can get the love and attention they deserve. (Less)

Meet Rhue, a super happy 40#, 5yr old English Bulldog/Boxer mixed girl. She spent the first few years of her life making babies for the backyard breeder who owned her. She developed an inguinal hernia from all those babies and being of no further use to her owner, was turned over to rescue. She holds no grudges for those years of servitude, and is loving every smooch and cuddle in foster care as she recovers from her Spay and hernia repair. She is good with people and male dogs. Physical fence preferred. Breed experience required www.daawgs.org

Sam is a very loving dog. He is high energy so we would prefer he go to a home without small children. He loves his humans very much and wants to protect them so he is a little unsure of strangers. He would make a great running partner. He does need a confident owner who can help him get over his anxiety with strangers.

Boxer Dogs can make good pets in Delaware if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.
