Rescue Me ID: 18-02-06-00358Madison (female)

Boxer Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Meet sweet Madison! She was trying to fend for herself on a rural highway and cars and trucks had to veer out of the way! Myself and another lady stopped to help her and she welcomed it! She was starving and oh so skinny so we gave her some food. The other lady's little dog jumped out of her car to join her and Madison paid no mind! She jumped right in my car and went to Animal control and lo and behold, she was chipped! That never happens! As I was heading out of town for a week, AC took her in on a stray hold and researched her chip. Come to find out she had been adopted from another rural County AC about 45 miles away two years ... (Read More)prior. AC had no success reaching an owner so she became a sweet soul! Probably a good thing as she certainly wasn't being taken care of. If you are looking for just a quiet companion to take strolls with and watch a movie on the sofa with then this girl is for you!!! We prefer a fenced yard if possible so she never gets out and is on her own again! Madison is very sweet and an easy keeper and she would love a caring and loving forever home!!! (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Boxer in Connecticut
Boxer Dogs can make good pets in Connecticut if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.

lnteresting Boxer Trivia Low-Cost Connecticut Spay & Neuter Clinics
The name boxer originates from the fact that boxer dogs look like they are actually boxing when they play using their front paws. Boxer dogs are the sixth most popular breed in the United States. Approximately 1 in 5 boxers are born white, and almost 20% of white boxers are deaf.
