Meet Radiance! Adoption events are a snorey bore'|'|..I would rather be at my foster house rumbling in the backyard or snoozing with my stuffy toys. The humans call me Radiance. I am not sure what that means in human language, but it translate into like sparkles, so I will add sunshine to your life. I am a Boxer dog and American Staffordshire Terrier Mix . I am a pretty young thang at about one year old and only 35 pounds. I go to the adoption events to get adopted, but I am not sure what that means, because then we just go back home to my foster house. What does adopted mean anyway? I am doing lots of skills at my foster house to get ... (Read More)ready for adoption like learning puppy manners, cuddles, leash walking, chewing on nylabones instead of human items, crate training, and running around the backyard with the other dogs. I am still catching on to the potty training, but like most puppy dogs, you will have to teach me where the door to outside is at your house. I am a happy girl with plenty of love to throw your way. Do you think that I could learn about adopted with you at your house? I think I would be really good at it with all the training I am getting here at my foster house. Visit www.godsdogsrescue.org to adopt me. I am located in San Antonio Texas but can be transported all over the US. I come spayed, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-03-02-00112Daisy (female)

Boxer Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Most Cats
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Daisy is an active 8 year old boxer mix. She has lived with current family her entire life. Daisy knows basic commands: sit, stay, lay down. Daisy needs an active and experienced dog owner. She is in good health and up to date on all shots. She is dog aggressive, especially on leash, is okay with some larger, male dogs if introduced properly. She is fine with cats and most kids, but would probably do better with older children since she can be rambunctious and does not always know her size. Due to unforeseen life events her family has to move and will not be able to bring Daisy.

Boxer Mix    Age: Adult

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Baby is a great dog. Her downfall is barking. We've had her since she was a 9 week old pup. We've always lived in a house, and there was almost always someone home. Last year, everything changed. Everyone moved out on their own, and I moved into an apartment styled condo. From day one, she barked from the moment I left for work until I got home. A neighbor complained about the barking to the condo association. I have tried everything between training her to deal with the separation, to barking collars (static and ultrasonic), leaving the tv on, thundershirt, frozen kong with PB, and vet prescribed Xanax and Prozac. I then started to bring ... (Read More)her to my daughter's apartment, as she has a dog and figured that they could keep each other company, but Baby continued to bark there, disturbing my daughter's landlord upstairs. I cannot afford doggy daycare, so I am out of options. She is a lover. She loves to go for car rides and walks. I walk her at last 1-2 miles a day. She's great on the leash. My 3 yr old granddaughter loves to walk her on the leash. She loves people, and has a very keen sense of personality. Even children that are afraid of dogs love her. Downfalls: 1. Barking. She does not like to be left alone. She's not used to it. 2. She is food aggressive. She's mellowed out in her 'old age', but if there are other dogs, they have to be fed separately, and I don't eat dinner around her. 3. Last year she had a rather large bladder stone removed from her. Since then, she has to go frequently. On the plus side, I put down peepee pads for her, and she always goes on them if I am not able to get her out on a timely basis. So, she is trained. I love Baby. I do not want her to wind up in a shelter, and quit honestly, I wish I could afford to move back into a house, but I cannot right now. My hope is to find someone who is close to where I live so I can still visit with her. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Boxer in Connecticut
Boxer Dogs can make good pets in Connecticut if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.

lnteresting Boxer Trivia Low-Cost Connecticut Spay & Neuter Clinics
The name boxer originates from the fact that boxer dogs look like they are actually boxing when they play using their front paws. Boxers were first introduced at a dog show in Munich, Germany in 1895. Boxer dogs are the sixth most popular breed in the United States.
