Boxer    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Molly is a wonderful people dog, even a hospital therapy dog. She absolutely loves all adults and children. I adopted her a year ago at age 4. She has had encounters with a few dogs, especially little barky dogs and has responded aggressively. I have been asked to find a new home for her by the staff at my independent living facility. I have never had such a loving dog and know she will make someone very happy.

Rescue Me ID: 14-08-13-00049Molly (female)

Boxer Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Male Dogs Only, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Molly is learning the basics well. She knew 'sit, down, eat, treat & walk' and has learned 'back, up, off, and no/yes/stay'in verbal & ASL. She's a very bright girl. She has also learned how to catch treats mid-air... a trick, completely foreign to her just a week ago. Old dog... new trick(s). Myth busted! Molly sleeps on a couch all night with no problems. She can be trusted in the home, alone, without a crate. She has no food/toy/attention aggression with people. She has a quiet, brief bark (truly!) that's only heard if a new loud noise spooks her, but she is learning that many city noises are OK and normal. She is eager to go for walks ... (Read More)& puts her funny pants on anytime she thinks it may be walk time! One look at the leash & she's on cloud nine! On walks, she is mindful & easily managed on a standard harness. Other dogs only really excite her when they are in her personal space. Dog parks are not for Molly. Molly prefers human females to males. She is submissive to all adults, but especially men. Hovering motions above her and quick movements around her can cause her to cower, but she is making good progress in understanding things are good - and that she is good :) She loves belly rubs and will snuggle with you most any time. Molly may thrive with a larger, male dog in her life, but seems content to also have the house to herself. Molly would love a home without smaller animals, cats, or other female dogs. She is an alpha-female, though you'd never know it in the absence of other pets. Molly will walk all day long, or will sleep all day long... she's easy to please. If you'd like to meet Molly, please fill out the online app today! Since I am a Pitbull mix, I can't be adopted or fostered in the following banned areas: Denver, Aurora, Castle Rock, Commerce City, Ft Lupton, Lone Tree, or Louisville. Rescue Me ID: 14-08-12-00188Harley (male)

Boxer Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Very High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Harley is a great dog. We adopted him and have had him since he was a little over three months old. However, he has anxiety that we've not been able to overcome. We took him to training and tried to crate train him (for he chews up the house if he is not crated) and he panics in his crate - sweat, barking, clawing. We do love him, he just has a on of pup energy like we've never seen with our other dogs. He needs a VERY large yard to run in and it needs to be enclosed with a high fence as he can scale anything less than 6 feet. He is great with our other dog, always wants to play and he is adorably cute. He'll make someone a great addition.

Rescue Me ID: 14-07-21-00564Ace (male)

Boxer Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

Ace is 1 1/2 year old male Red Nose Pitbull, no papers. He is raised in a very loving home with children and does great. He has been around small dogs and done great. Ace is very playful and very loving. Unfortunately, I am moving and new place does not allow pit-bulls. Would rather give Ace to a loving family as opposed to putting him in a shelter where eventually he may be euthanized as pit bulls are not allowed in city limits.

Boxer Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet our rescue dog, Rusty! He was rescued when an ARR volunteer saw him being sold out of a box. Rusty is about 25 lbs and believed to be a Dachshund and Boxer mix. He loves other dogs, cats and kids. His foster mom says Rusty would love to be in a family with kids, another dog playmate and a house with a large yard. He is very active and wonderful with everyone, though he can be strong. It would be best if he was only around older children (at least nine years old) for now so he doesn't knock anyone down. He likes to play with other dogs and would do best with a doggie companion in his forever home. Rusty is still working on becoming ... (Read More)house trained and will need someone with patience and willingness to train him. A doggie door would be very helpful for Rusty's house training. Rusty does great in the crate all night long as long as a person or another animal is home to keep him company. Rusty doesn't try to tear up his crate, but he does cry when you first leave him. He may get too sad if left in a crate often, so it would be best if Rusty lived in a home with a lot of activity and someone who is home very often. He needs to be let outside often to go potty and watched like a hawk while indoors until he's got his training down pat. Rusty is highly intelligent and needs stimulation throughout the day. He loves to play fetch and ride in the car. Rusty does okay on a leash and tends to wander back and forth. He does better with a gentle leader harness. He is still a puppy and is learning more every day. He will sit on command and will leave when you say 'out'. Rusty is very handsome. He has an underbite that will melt your heart and at times, it looks like he is smiling! Rusty is soft and does well in the bathtub. He even tried to get in with his foster mom once! This silly, lovable guy deserves a forever home where no one would dream of letting him go. If you'd like to meet Rusty, please fill out the online app today! Adoption fee is $175 and covers microchip, DAPP, Rabies, deworming and spay/neuter. This includes a $50 Training Deposit, refundable upon receipt of proof of completion of puppy classes within 90 days of adoption. Adoption fees also allow us to continue saving animals. Boxer Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Little Pete is a 2 year old, 55 pound Boxer mix that looks to have some English Bulldog in him as well. He is a dead ringer for our volunteer's beloved Pete - that alone saved his life - but he is a sweetheart to boot. Good with other dogs, walks great on a leash, loves to ride in the car and behaves while doing it. He thinks his purpose on earth is to harass cats. Please give this cutie a second look. Adoption fee $150 donation to Dancing Dog Rescue. For an adoption application or additional information, please email dancingdogrescue@earthlink.net or call 3zero3-882-zero837. Boxer Mix    Age: Adult

Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Meet Rylee! This sweet female Boxer/Beagle mix was found after being abandoned on the streets as a very young pup. She has a happy disposition even though she has suffered from a lack of socialization, especially with other dogs. Rylee loves playing with toys, cuddling and going for long walks. She's a trick performing Guru!! From classic obedience commands to funny feats that are just downright cute, Rylee can entertain you with her amazing abilities! Rylee is looking for the perfect best friend who can provide a comfortable daily routine. Rylee would really love to be the one and only fur-baby in your life, so she can have all of your ... (Read More)attention for herself! She's a very loyal companion and has a lot of love to give. She is not suited for going to the dog park, and she would love to go for walks, hikes or playing in a fenced or large backyard instead. Rylee would be better suited for a home with older children (or none) as opposed to having young ones around due to her excitability. Dogs like Rylee, a precious seven year old sweetheart, are often overlooked in shelters due to age, but don't let her age fool you! Rylee is lively and playful with a clean bill of health. Are you looking for a new best friend and loving family member to spend Forever with? If you'd like to meet or adopt Rylee, please contact Alana Scheilter at Telephone: (719) 351-7348 Email: alscheitler@gmail.com (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Boxer in Colorado
Boxer Dogs can make good pets in Colorado if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.

lnteresting Boxer Trivia Low-Cost Colorado Spay & Neuter Clinics
The name boxer originates from the fact that boxer dogs look like they are actually boxing when they play using their front paws. Boxers were first introduced at a dog show in Munich, Germany in 1895.
