Rescue Me ID: 17-12-06-00009Dallas (male)

Boxer Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Dallas and his 4 siblings were found in a box on the side of the road in New Mexico. Our wonderful rescue partner quickly got them home and safe. After a few weeks in New Mexico the pups were finally healthy and old enough to make the trip to CO to start the search for their forever homes!! To be honest, your guess is as good as ours on what breeds these babies are. Some are fluffier than others, some have blue eyes, and one is even brindle with blue eyes!! For all we know, and what we have learned about strays over the years, these pups probably have 5-10 different breeds in them. To us, this is what makes them that much more special ... (Read More)and unique. We believe they will be on the upper-side of medium, or lower-side of large (50-70lbs?) These pups have been very well socialized now, and are the sweetest, chunkiest little pups. They love to play with each other and snuggle up with their foster mom. The will follow her around the house stumbling from room to room just to make sure they aren't missing out on anything, The foster who has them, who has been fostering for years now, says they are some of the best, easiest pups she has ever had. As long as they continue their socialization and training, whoever gets to be their forever family will be SUPER lucky! We would love for these pups to go to forever families who have lots of time to spend with them and train them. Since they are bigger pups, they will be awesome adventure buddies or family companions. Really, they are so easy, they will be happy as long as they are loved, get tons of attention and snuggles. Boxer Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Duke and Duchess were were rescued from the streets of Oklahoma. They were found near a very busy highway where they came close to being hit. It is obvious they have been together for all of their short lives. Duke is most likely Duchess's son. She nurtures him and tends to him like a mama dog would tend to her baby. Duke is about one-year-old and Duchess is two to three years old. They both are great with people, however, it takes Duke just a few days to form a bond and when he does he is very loving and very loyal. Duchess seems to immediately accept and love all new people who come into her life. They are great with dogs also. One of my ... (Read More)own dogs apparently saw some vulnerability in Duke and attacked him. His wounds are healing and before long all of his hair will come back in but he has forgotten about it and still excepts other dogs happily. He is just a big puppy and wants to play. Both Duke and Duchess want nothing more than to just be near people who love them! They are both heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. They are fully vaccinated and Duchess is spayed and Duke is neutered. They love to go on walks and do very well on their leashes and they are housetrained. ***We prefer that Duke and Duchess be adopted together; discount for adopting as a bonded pair! (Less)

Boo Cattle Dog/Boxer Mix Male 2 years old 51 lbs. Hey there! I'm Boo and I'd like to be your new best friend! See, I'm one of those honest types. Like, super honest-almost like I don't have a filter! For instance, I can't play it cool-you're probably noticing from my wagging tail that I'm eager to hang out! In fact, a snuggle on the couch would be just delightful! I love playing outside with other dogs and then coming inside for a peaceful snooze. I'm pretty laid back and just want to chillax indoors. I'm house trained and know all of the classics like come, sit and stay. I'm totally trustworthy when it comes to leaving me home alone-no ... (Read More)worries there! I also love toys and I love going for fun hikes in the mountains! I have such a fun energy when I'm exploring new things! I am working on my comfort with meeting new people right now as new people are a bit intimidating to me at the moment. I am content with the people I know and love but can feel defensive in general when I'm unsure of a new relationship. Therefore, I'd do best in a quieter home where I can just be happy with my humans and not need to meet tons of new people all the time. And I also need to be in a home without children since I have shown to be nervous around young humans as well. But you know what I'm not scared of? Lots of love and affection from an amazing family! I would make an incredibly loving companion for someone who understands my foibles and can help me feel safe. And I promise you that I will love you and treasure you every day forward if you are my forever person. Will you please give me a new 'leash' on life? All you have to do is email adopt@pawscoadoptions.org or fill out an adoption application at https://pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-application/. Thank you so much! (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Boxer in Colorado
Boxer Dogs can make good pets in Colorado if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.

Rescue Me! - HeIpingAnimaIs in Need.
Boxer
lnteresting Boxer Trivia Low-Cost Colorado Spay & Neuter Clinics
The name boxer originates from the fact that boxer dogs look like they are actually boxing when they play using their front paws. The boxer was originally bred from the English Bulldog and the now extinct Bullenbeisser. Boxers were first introduced at a dog show in Munich, Germany in 1895. Approximately 1 in 5 boxers are born white, and almost 20% of white boxers are deaf.
