We have a lovely boxer named Chloe who has been in the shelter way too long. She is frustrated and bored and isn't showing well in her kennel.....thus limiting interest in her. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. 5 years old. 50 pounds. Had a breed assessment several weeks ago at The Denver Animal Shelter and was deemed to be a boxer. She is beautiful. She was returned after being adopted as they didn't have time to exercise her. She was in a crate for up to 12 hours a day. No cats. Not especially good with other dogs, but did live with a chihuahua for a year with no problems. Hard to assess after being at the shelter for so long. ... (Read More)Many of our dogs become less tolerant of other dogs the longer they are there. Very friendly and obedient. Listens to the rules. Has lived with kids over the age of 12. Would you be able to help break her out of the shelter? Please let me know either way. I have attached a photo of her. Let me know if you would like more info, photos or would like to meet with her. Thanks so much for considering her! Cyndi Geist 303-789-5206 HSSPV (Less)

Boxer Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Leo is a 12 week Boxer/Shepherd(we think). She weighs about 10-15lbs right now and will be about 35-45lbs full grown, give or take a few lbs. Leo was surrendered to an overcrowded TX shelter with his 7 brothers and sisters. This shelter is known for illness, but we were able to get them out of the shelter before they got sick! Leo and his brother Leo have been fostered together for the past 2 weeks and are finally ready to find their forever home. They are up to date on shots, super healthy, spayed, and microchipped. They are also wonderful puppies. They have been fostered with a younger woman who takes them with her on her outing so ... (Read More)they are getting tons of socialization. They absolutely love people and love the fosters other dog. She has quickly become the big sister. They are gentle and sweet, even when rough housing with each other. Leo and Oscar have been doing great with crate training, but once separated may need a couple days of adjustment time. Both Leo and Oscar are incredibly smart. They will make wonderful adventure buddies for someone or best friends for a kid or other dog. Snuggling is also a must for these pups. They loves to snuggle on the couch or hang out with the foster mom while watching tv. We are so glad we were able to rescue babies because they have some of the best personalities and really deserve to find their true forever families. Rescue Me ID: 18-02-12-00391Nunu (female)

Boxer Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hello, my name is Nunu and I am a big, sweet girl in need of a new forever home!! Life has been very confusing for me lately because my mom got sick and went to the hospital; then I was left alone (luckily my owner's daughter came by to feed me and spend time with me a few times a day); and since my mom passed away, I'm now in a 'foster home' and I've been living here for a couple of weeks now. I am a 7 year old female/spayed Boxer mix and I'm big and strong at 80 lbs, but my foster is working with me to get me down to about 65-70 lbs. My foster mom is so impressed with my intelligence and adaptability -- after living my entire life with ... (Read More)my mom, I'm doing great in my foster home. I am now with two other large dogs and I get along with them so well! I've been good about eating near them with no issues and I learned to use the doggy door very quickly. I have over an acre to run and play on now and I love it! I will bark when I see cars driving down the road or if there are rabbits, squirrels, etc., but I am quiet inside the house. Though there are no children in my foster home, I was very patient and accommodating with my owner's 3 year old grandson and a cat that used to live with us. I am not destructive in the house and really am pretty relaxed most of the time! I'm not really a lap dog, but I do like to cuddle! I like car rides and have been to the dog park and think it's lots of fun, but I'm also a couch potato and am happy to be at home with my person/family. I have a red Kong toy that I love - especially when my mom would put peanut butter in it - who doesn't like that?!?! I have lived mostly with women and children in my life so you might say I prefer them, but I warm up pretty quickly to men who do not yell or act angry. I have a very sensitive spirit and I need a gentle, peaceful family and environment because I have tried to protect my family in the past and the Safe Place for Pets folks feel I shouldn't live somewhere that I have to be 'on guard' and need to be protective. If you are a relaxed, loving, peaceful person or family that is interested in meeting me and seeing what a sweetheart I am, please call Safe Place for Pets at 719-359-0201 or submit a pet inquiry about me at www.safeplacepets.org. I am happy in my foster home, but will be even happier in my forever home!! (Less)

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Abused/Neglected

Mandy is a super energetic sweetheart that I found outside a grocery store on the navajo reservation. She had recently had puppies (who likely froze to death ) and had mostly been eating garbage. She was following everyone around and gladly came home with me and settled into house life. She has some (understandable) separation anxiety and would do best being kept outside with another dog during the day. She loves cuddles and comfy beds and is a very fun, sweet companion! She would be a great hiking or running buddy as she follows me without a leash and loves running, jumping, and playing. She knows basic commands and is doing well with ... (Read More)housetraining. He wants nothing more than to be loved and a permanent part of your home. Baxter is so sweet, loving, gentle, housebroken, comfortable with the other dogs in his foster home, even the little dog.     URGENT, NEED HOME OF FOSTER HOME for Luka, Boxer, 14 years. Luka has had a life of neglect. For his age he is active, loves to be with people, and has a lot of love to give.     Boo Cattle Dog/Boxer Mix Male 2 years old 51 lbs. Hey there! I'm Boo and I'd like to be your new best friend! See, I'm one of those honest types. Like, super honest-almost like I don't have a filter! For instance, I can't play it cool-you're probably noticing from my wagging tail that I'm eager to hang out! In fact, a snuggle on the couch would be just delightful! I love playing outside with other dogs and then coming inside for a peaceful snooze. I'm pretty laid back and just want to chillax indoors. I'm house trained and know all of the classics like come, sit and stay. I'm totally trustworthy when it comes to leaving me home alone-no ... (Read More)worries there! I also love toys and I love going for fun hikes in the mountains! I have such a fun energy when I'm exploring new things! I am working on my comfort with meeting new people right now as new people are a bit intimidating to me at the moment. I am content with the people I know and love but can feel defensive in general when I'm unsure of a new relationship. Therefore, I'd do best in a quieter home where I can just be happy with my humans and not need to meet tons of new people all the time. And I also need to be in a home without children since I have shown to be nervous around young humans as well. But you know what I'm not scared of? Lots of love and affection from an amazing family! I would make an incredibly loving companion for someone who understands my foibles and can help me feel safe. And I promise you that I will love you and treasure you every day forward if you are my forever person. I had a chance to meet the kind folks at Denver Animal Care and Control for a breed evaluation and they've officially determined that I'm a Cattle Dog mix! That makes me so happy because that means I can live in the city of Denver. The kind folks at PawsCo can provide a written confirmation of my breed evaluation as needed. Will you please give me a new 'leash' on life? All you have to do is email adopt@pawscoadoptions.org or fill out an adoption application at https://pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-application/. PIease Read Before Adopting a Boxer in Colorado
Boxer Dogs can make good pets in Colorado if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.
