Pamela Boxer mix Female 4 years old 55 lbs. Hello there! It's me, Pamela, America's Sweetheart! I'm an all-around easygoing brown-and-white Boxer mix who's looking for my forever home. I love meeting new humans. In fact, I can barely contain my excitement, and my whole body gets a case of the wiggles! I would say I'm a well-balanced lady who loves life, is eager to please, and is always up for a good snuggle session. I'm a real good listener, and I know a few commands, like 'sit' and 'stay'. I'm hoping to fine-tune some more skills soon with the help of a good teacher! As much as I love humans (and kids!), I'm not a huge fan of other dogs in the house at this point. I'm learning how to be more polite when meeting other dogs out and about on walks and the PawsCo folks can fill you in on some great training techniques. But I do need to be the only dog in my forever home until I've received more socialization training. I love time with my foster mom, but I know she has to do things without me sometimes. The good news is that I'm great when alone; I'm house trained, and I do quite well in my crate. Though I do love to play, I mellow out easily and can snooze with the best of them! One time, my foster mom even left me out of my crate while she ran errands, and I just stretched out and relaxed in front of the window until she returned. Life is good! When I'm invited, I love a good couch snuggle. My foster human and I love to nap together, but I know that not everyone wants me on furniture, so I'm happy curling up on the floor nearby, too. Like I said, life is SO good, but it would be even better if I could get settled in with my forever family. If you would like to be my play pal and snuggle buddy for life, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and fill out an adoption application on the PawsCo website today! (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 14-10-10-00048Jonesy (male)|
Meet Jonesy! His mother, Sophia, was on the reservation in New Mexico and showed up at someone's home nearby, very pregnant and gave birth just days after arriving. The area is heavily overcrowded with dogs and if Sophia and her puppies would have gone to the shelter they likely would have been euthanized. So transport was arranged through Rez Dawgs Rescue to transfer them up to Save Me Scout Rescue. Jonesy and his siblings will be 8 weeks old and ready for adoption by October 23rd. We believe their mother is a Shiba Inu/Boxer mix. We have no idea what dad was but he may have been some sort of Husky mix as Jonesy's sisters have blue eyes. The puppies are socializing with other dogs, cats, and children in their foster home. They are working on crate training and potty training and will need to continue such training in their forever home. Jonesy is the most vocal, especially when left or put away in his crate so probably no apartments. Jonesy and his litter were named after the recently passed veterinary behaviorist Dr. Sophia Yin. Jonesy was Dr. Yin's Jack Russell Terrier who is featured in many of her training videos. She is the author of Perfect Puppy in 7 Days, a must read for puppy owners! Jonesy's adoption fee of $325 includes his neuter, deworming, microchip, 1st distemper/parvo booster and private in home training (mandatory). |Rescue Me ID: 14-10-09-00254Sophia (female)|
Sophia is a 2 year old Red female Shiba Inu/Boxer mix who was found at a person's home just outside the reservation area in New Mexico. She showed up one day, heavily pregnant and a few days later, gave birth to 3 puppies. She was able to get onto a transport to Colorado and to our rescue because had she stayed in New Mexico she would have gone to the area shelter and risked being euthanized due to their large numbers of dogs in the area. Sophia is nervous at first but sweet once she knows you. She will follow you and push at you with her nose, both if she's unsure and then later for attention or treats. She is around children in her foster home and is fine with them but does occassionally push them with her nose which may bother younger children. She would benefit from another dog in the home to show her the ropes. She does love to play with large male dogs and greets them with happy 'Shiba ears' and licks their face. She prefers to be left alone while she eats or has a bone so it's best to feed her in her crate. Sophia is hit or miss with cats, some she's fine with and others she wants to chase. Sophia is crate training and potty trained. She is fine with short chain link fencing and walks well on a leash with a harness. Her adoption fee of $225 includes her spay, microchip, deworming, distemper, bordatella, rabies vaccines, and a private in home training session. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 14-09-24-01140Susie (female)|
She is very frightened by loud noises and takes off often running over my yorkie. She did have the gum over growth but is on a health plan with Loveland vets that is 20.00 a month and 20.00 co pay. They did a work up and got her on year round heartguard and removed gum overgrowth and bad teeth included in plan. and vaccinated her. She was owned by people next door that left her in the cold made the dogs fight for food. She was emaciated when I first found her. She would get aggressive when the male mounted her or trying to fight for food and the man would kick her to get her off the male they had. Someone who had her previous had her bottom canines filed down. She has had a rough life but is being spoiled here until I can find the perfect home for her. I do home checks and there is a 60 day trial period and she comes back to me if there is a death or accident where she cannot be cared for. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 14-09-10-00312Molly (female)|
Molly is a wonderful people dog, even a hospital therapy dog. She absolutely loves all adults and children. I adopted her a year ago at age 4. She has had encounters with a few dogs, especially little barky dogs and has responded aggressively. I have been asked to find a new home for her by the staff at my independent living facility. I have never had such a loving dog and know she will make someone very happy.

|Rescue Me ID: 14-08-13-00049Molly (female)|
Molly is learning the basics well. She knew 'sit, down, eat, treat & walk' and has learned 'back, up, off, and no/yes/stay'in verbal & ASL. She's a very bright girl. She has also learned how to catch treats mid-air... a trick, completely foreign to her just a week ago. Old dog... new trick(s). Myth busted! Molly sleeps on a couch all night with no problems. She can be trusted in the home, alone, without a crate. She has no food/toy/attention aggression with people. She has a quiet, brief bark (truly!) that's only heard if a new loud noise spooks her, but she is learning that many city noises are OK and normal. She is eager to go for walks & puts her funny pants on anytime she thinks it may be walk time! One look at the leash & she's on cloud nine! On walks, she is mindful & easily managed on a standard harness. Other dogs only really excite her when they are in her personal space. Dog parks are not for Molly. Molly prefers human females to males. She is submissive to all adults, but especially men. Hovering motions above her and quick movements around her can cause her to cower, but she is making good progress in understanding things are good - and that she is good :) She loves belly rubs and will snuggle with you most any time. Molly may thrive with a larger, male dog in her life, but seems content to also have the house to herself. Molly would love a home without smaller animals, cats, or other female dogs. She is an alpha-female, though you'd never know it in the absence of other pets. Molly will walk all day long, or will sleep all day long... she's easy to please. If you'd like to meet Molly, please fill out the online app today! Since I am a Pitbull mix, I can't be adopted or fostered in the following banned areas: Denver, Aurora, Castle Rock, Commerce City, Ft Lupton, Lone Tree, or Louisville. Adoption fee is $80 and covers microchip, DAPP, Rabies, Heart Worm test and spay/neuter. Adoption fees also allow us to continue saving animals. Please email ARRColorado@gmail.com for more information, as we cannot accept calls at this time. If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website http://www.ARRColorado.org and click the Apply to Adopt a Pet link under the Adopt/Foster tab. (Less)

Little Pete is a 2 year old, 55 pound Boxer mix that looks to have some English Bulldog in him as well. He is a dead ringer for our volunteer's beloved Pete - that alone saved his life - but he is a sweetheart to boot. Good with other dogs, walks great on a leash, loves to ride in the car and behaves while doing it. He thinks his purpose on earth is to harass cats. Please give this cutie a second look. Adoption fee $150 donation to Dancing Dog Rescue. For an adoption application or additional information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 3zero3-882-zero837. |PIease Read Before Adopting a Boxer in Colorado|
Boxer Dogs can make good pets in Colorado if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.
