Rescue Me ID: 14-08-13-00049Molly (female)

Boxer Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Male Dogs Only, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Meet our new rescue dog, Molly! She was recently busted out of a shelter in Texas where her time was up with her buddy, Scout! Molly is enjoying being in foster care in Colorado where she can be in a home again and get regular walks, love, and attention. Molly is waiting for her forever home where she can spend her senior years being treated like the queen she is! Molly is a nine year old Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier mix who loves adults and kids. She is house trained and knows the commands 'Sit' and 'Down' (lay down). She is very good on car rides and is tolerant during bath time, as she simply stands still to be cleaned. She loves ... (Read More)to go for walks and walks well on an easy harness, and doesn't pull. Molly is fun-loving and bounces all around when she's excited! Her foster mom got cheese out of the fridge, and Molly started bouncing up and down like like a jumping bean! She is very food-motivated. Her foster mom has the nickname 'chompers' for her, because when food comes out, Molly makes a chomping noise to let you know she wants some, too! Molly is sweet, playful and friendly towards humans, and she likes to cuddle, too! One of her favorite things is belly rubs. She submissively rolls over for lots of belly rubs! She is an active, dominant female who would love to be an only-dog, though she has had a male dog-pal in the past. Molly needs slow introductions with submissive dogs if she is going to be in a home with one. Molly will make a special someone very happy! She has quite a bit of energy for her age and acts (and looks) much younger than she is. Molly would love to experience the Rocky Mountains on a hike or a camping trip for her first time with her new best friend! Could that be you? If you'd like to meet Molly, please fill out the online app today! Since I am a Pitbull mix, I can't be adopted or fostered in the following banned areas: Denver, Aurora, Castle Rock, Commerce City, Ft Lupton, Lone Tree, or Louisville. Adoption fee is $80 and covers microchip, DAPP, Rabies, Heart Worm test and spay/neuter. Adoption fees also allow us to continue saving animals. Please email ARRColorado@gmail.com for more information, as we cannot accept calls at this time. If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website http://www.ARRColorado.org and click the Apply to Adopt a Pet link under the Adopt/Foster tab. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-08-12-00188Harley (male)

Boxer Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Very High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Harley is a great dog. We adopted him and have had him since he was a little over three months old. However, he has anxiety that we've not been able to overcome. We took him to training and tried to crate train him (for he chews up the house if he is not crated) and he panics in his crate - sweat, barking, clawing. We do love him, he just has a on of pup energy like we've never seen with our other dogs. He needs a VERY large yard to run in and it needs to be enclosed with a high fence as he can scale anything less than 6 feet. He is great with our other dog, always wants to play and he is adorably cute. He'll make someone a great addition.

Boxer Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

Ace is 1 1/2 year old male Red Nose Pitbull, no papers. He is raised in a very loving home with children and does great. He has been around small dogs and done great. Ace is very playful and very loving. Unfortunately, I am moving and new place does not allow pit-bulls. Would rather give Ace to a loving family as opposed to putting him in a shelter where eventually he may be euthanized as pit bulls are not allowed in city limits.

Loves companionship, Sleeping with you. Gets anxiety if left alone. So advised to not leave in home alone. Drools at times, is a little spoiled with people food. Sits, shakes, fetches. Does know how to jump & climb chain link fencing. Needs a secure back yard. Is not kennel trained, I do not care for such life style. He is an inside dog. Recently hit by a car, so his right back leg is very tender. Not a mean bone in his body. Had to leave him somewhere for an extended period of time & the other dogs he got pinned up with left a couple scars. Looking for a really good, financially secure, loving family. I am leaving again for a long period of ... (Read More)time & must find the right home for him before July 21st, if not- even just a temporary home. Please contact me immediately. Rescue Me ID: 14-06-29-00370Logan (male)

Boxer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Vaccinations Current, Aggressive, Fearful/Anxious

Logan is a very sweet, loyal, fun, smart, and loving dog. I rescued him 4 years ago when he was 9 months old, after what appeared to be a rough upbringing for him. When I first got him, he wasn't housebroken and was afraid of most people (including me), but he has come a a long way since. Over the four years, he has received tons of professional training to work on his behavior, so now he does well on a leash, is housebroken, and is much more calm than he used to be. However, he still has issues with some strangers and young children. I recently married someone with young children, which isn't a good environment for him, which is why I am ... (Read More)looking for a home for him. If I can find the right home for him, I will pay for a series of training sessions from a professional trainer for the new owner, a month's supply of his favorite food, training collars, a crate (he does well in a crate when need be), treats, a comfortable muzzle for use around strangers, and plenty of toys to keep him busy. I love him dearly and would love to keep him, but since I can't, I will do just about anything to find him a home that is willing to love him, be loved by him, and keep him safe. Please call or email if you are interested in learning more about him, seeing more photos, or meeting him. He really is a great dog and could be a perfect fit for the right situation. (Less)

Little Pete is a 2 year old, 55 pound Boxer mix that looks to have some English Bulldog in him as well. He is a dead ringer for our volunteer's beloved Pete - that alone saved his life - but he is a sweetheart to boot. Good with other dogs, walks great on a leash, loves to ride in the car and behaves while doing it. He thinks his purpose on earth is to harass cats. Please give this cutie a second look. Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Meet Rylee! This sweet female Boxer/Beagle mix was found after being abandoned on the streets as a very young pup. She has a happy disposition even though she has suffered from a lack of socialization, especially with other dogs. Rylee loves playing with toys, cuddling and going for long walks. She's a trick performing Guru!! From classic obedience commands to funny feats that are just downright cute, Rylee can entertain you with her amazing abilities! Rylee is looking for the perfect best friend who can provide a comfortable daily routine. Rylee would really love to be the one and only fur-baby in your life, so she can have all of your ... (Read More)attention for herself! She's a very loyal companion and has a lot of love to give. She is not suited for going to the dog park, and she would love to go for walks, hikes or playing in a fenced or large backyard instead. Rylee would be better suited for a home with older children (or none) as opposed to having young ones around due to her excitability. Dogs like Rylee, a precious seven year old sweetheart, are often overlooked in shelters due to age, but don't let her age fool you! Rylee is lively and playful with a clean bill of health. Are you looking for a new best friend and loving family member to spend Forever with? PIease Read Before Adopting a Boxer in Colorado
Boxer Dogs can make good pets in Colorado if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.

lnteresting Boxer Trivia Low-Cost Colorado Spay & Neuter Clinics
The name boxer originates from the fact that boxer dogs look like they are actually boxing when they play using their front paws. The boxer was originally bred from the English Bulldog and the now extinct Bullenbeisser. Boxers were first introduced at a dog show in Munich, Germany in 1895. Boxer dogs are the sixth most popular breed in the United States. Approximately 1 in 5 boxers are born white, and almost 20% of white boxers are deaf.
