Hi my name is Delgado. I'm a sweet boy with people but I chase kitties and get very jealous and needy so I fight with dogs and i might try to try to push you off the bed. I'm a bit spoiled but I make up for it in loyalty & sweetness. I'm BIG cuddler. VERY affectionate. I do get cold very easily and I prefer to be inside but its OK I don't shed or tear things up.I'm loveable but in need of a smaller less stressful home. Thank you...oh and I LOVE to ride the car.

Rescue Me ID: 15-01-01-00116Bruno (male)

Boxer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Arthritis, Fearful/Anxious

Bruno was rescued by a family member from an abandoned apartment in Commerce City when he was approximately three or four months old. He has occasional fear of deep or loud voices which causes him to tuck his tail and go in the opposite direction. He has skin allergies. He's been seen by two separate vets (records can be obtained) within the past three years. His last vaccinations (rabies vaccination) was last spring 2014 at Huron Animal Hospital. He's very loyal and very sweet. His skin allergies have been treated with vitamins and diet. He loves to go on walks and we've taken him camping. He doesn't jump on furniture or on people ... (Read More)because he has slightly low energy and possible arthritis. He occasionally has, what we call, 'happy puddles.' He will tinkle a little in the house if he is suddenly startled by loud noises, but this is very rare. He gets along with smaller and larger dogs. He can be food aggressive towards other dogs if he is disturbed while eating. He has never been around cats or other animals, only other dogs and people. He has been very good with our four year old since our son was a baby. We need to find a new home for him because my husband has developed pretty severe allergies. Since Bruno has skin allergies, and when my husband handles Bruno, he becomes asthmatic around Bruno. We don't want to give him up, we love him very much. But my husband is having a hard time breathing and we need to find a good, loving home for Bruno. Please only contact us if you are TRULY interested in adopting him and keeping him. He has a kind spirit and is a very loving animal. Thank you. (Less)

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

If anyone is in need of a mature dog who loves to be loved, look no further. Phyllis loves her humans and is eager to learn how to trust. She can be a little bashful at first and would do best with a quiet and calm person. I also think that Phyllis would do best as an only fur-child, OR with an older mellow dog: she is currently co-existing with 9 yr. old and 1 yr. old companion mutts at the moment, but she is mostly indifferent towards them but sometimes gets quite fed up with the 1 year old. This sweetie thrives on human kindness and affection. At 49 lbs, this gal is healthy and wholesome. She is incredibly receptive to the leash and ...     Boo Radley Lab/Boxer Mix Male 2 years old 60 Ibs. Yooooo-hooooo! Over here...bet ya can't catch me! I'm Boo Radley, the zoomiest happy, scrappy young man this side of the Mississippi! Have you ever heard of Zero, the ghost puppy from The Nightmare Before Christmas? My foster family says I'm just like him - ready to play at a moment's notice, with energy to spare, and I LOVE giving hugs and kisses! I was found as a stray in LaJunta, where lots of dogs are already looking for homes - PawsCo brought me to Denver because they think my high energy will be a great fit for an active Front Range family. I'll need lots of structured exercise-I'm ... (Read More)talkin' morning jogs and maybe some afternoons at the dog park. If it's an energetic sidekick you're looking for, I'm the guy for YOU! Kiddos and kitties might be overwhelmed with my size and energy, but if you're patient and help me channel my lightning-bolt energy in healthy ways, I'll be an awesome family dog. Toys are totally my thing, and playing with other dogs is second only to kissin' my humans-I love rough-housing with my two AND four-legged pals. I never really learned how to play gently, so there are times when I get a little too excited. I would love to get to know a patient and calm human to teach me how to play nice. My foster family says that I'm a sweetie, but sometimes I just forget my size. So what do you say-how about starting life over for a pup who's got just a little bit of experience in the real world? Let's set a date for some fetch, and see if we're a match made in heaven. E-mail adopt@pawscoadoptions.org or head over to the site and fill out an adoption application today! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-08-13-00049Molly (female)

Boxer Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Male Dogs Only, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hi, I'm Molly! I sleep on the couch or the floor, all night with no problems. I can be trusted in the home, alone, without a crate, and I know many words and house rules. I have no food/toy/attention aggression with people. I have a quiet, brief bark (truly!) and I have learned that many city noises are normal and OK. I am eager to go for walks & I put my funny pants on whenever me thinks it may be walk time! One look at the leash & I'm on cloud nine! On walks, I am mindful & easily managed on a standard harness. Other dogs only excite me when they are in my personal space. Dog parks are not for me. I am submissive to all adults, but ... (Read More)especially men. I prefer adult women to men. Hovering motions above me and quick movements around me can cause me to cower in fear, but I am making good progress in understanding that things are good and that I am a good girl :) I just love belly rubs and I will snuggle with you anytime. I would thrive in a home without smaller animals, cats, or other female dogs. I get along swimmingly with male dogs, however. In fact, there is a good chance that I am playing and romping throughout my temporary home with a large male dog right now! See the video below of me rolling around in the cool Colorado grass, celebrating on the day that I was rescued from the shelter! Adoption fee is $40 and covers microchip, DAPP, Rabies, Heart Worm test and spay/neuter. Adoption fees also allow us to continue saving animals. Please email ARRColorado@gmail.com for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here. Since I am a Pitbull mix, I can't be adopted or fostered in the following banned areas: Denver, Aurora, Castle Rock, Commerce City, Ft Lupton, Lone Tree, or Louisville (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Boxer in Colorado
Boxer Dogs can make good pets in Colorado if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.

lnteresting Boxer Trivia Low-Cost Colorado Spay & Neuter Clinics
The name boxer originates from the fact that boxer dogs look like they are actually boxing when they play using their front paws. The boxer was originally bred from the English Bulldog and the now extinct Bullenbeisser. Boxers were first introduced at a dog show in Munich, Germany in 1895.
