These 4 pups are from a sweet, loving, jagdterrier, Lauralynn, famously known in the small city of Barstow CA as the Stater Bros Dog. Laurralynn was a free range dog that captured many Barstonian hearts. For six months people of Barstow worked to gain her trust so she could be rescued from the harsh streets. The rescue team noticed that she was pregnant, approaching her due date, and going to deliver her pups in a storm drain. Word got out to dog rescue extraordinaire Faith Easdale, and she quickly made her way to Barstow to save Lauralynn and her babies. One week later Lauralynn delivered 9 wonderful pups. Boxer    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

About 2 %BD years ago we adopted a Boxer Pup, we named her Bananas. She has all her vaccinations and was spayed about a month ago. We are at a crossroad where we need to find her a home with someone who she'd be the only pet. If you're wondering why'|we also have an American Bull Dog and Bananas has reached the age where she wants to become the Alpha and that has caused aggression between the two of them. Bananas is really good with children and will lick them crazy = ) she's just not great with other dogs and/ or Cats. I do feel Bananas is and will be much better in a single dog home. With our family growing and kids in their ... (Read More)respective sports, I cannot allocate the 100% time needed for Bananas to work with and train her.     Snickers is an 11 month old male Boxer/Rottweiler mix. He came to our rescue after being confiscated from a home where he was kept on a 4 ft chain and muzzled. He gets along well with other dogs. He weighs approx 40 lbs. He's neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

My name is Lindy. Some people call me Belinda the beauty. I was rescued from the Riverside shelter not too long ago. I was sent there after being found wandering the streets. I don't know how long I wandered but I was still pretty healthy when I arrived to the shelter. The shelter was a stressful place, but fortunately for me, I got to have a cell mate that I could cuddle with and play with. She was my best friend. Lucky for me, some people noticed me and found me a home that I could stay at for a while - you know, couch surf - until I can find my new forever home. Then the best thing happened! I got adopted! But now after 6 months (5/17) I ... (Read More)am being returned because my owner's mom is really sick and unable to care for both her and me. So I'm the one who loses.     Staff Notes* 5/1/17 'I have fostered Emerson on and off for many months and he is fantastic! He is looking for a home that has breed experience as he acts very much like a boxer and like a pitty. He is not a fan of feet but loves belly rubs and butt scratches. He does not jump up on furniture and just likes to lay on a blanket or dog bed. He does pull when on leash but has great recall and is really good off leash. He can not go to dog parks or be around lots of strangers. If you want to know more about him please call 510-900-2275 and ask to talk to Amanda' Emerson is super sweet and lovely with people! Emerson was adopted out as a puppy ... (Read More)and was returned 1 1/2 years later. He is super solid with kids (10 and older), adults and has been lovely with volunteers. Emerson needs more confidence with other dogs. He would be best in a single dog home and would make any family super happy. Emerson has a solid foundation in training and knows quite a few commands. Emerson is also a potty trained. He also plays fetch! (Less)

Camryn is a young female Boxer, Austrailian Cattle Dog and Staffie Mix. She is approximately 1 1/2 years old. It looks as though she already has had a litter, she is now spayed. She is still puppy like though. She is a beautiful fawn color with white on her paws and chest. Her eyes are hazel and she has a black nose. She is up to date on all of her shots.     Meet Ranger. He is about two years old, neutered, has all his shots and is pretty lovable. Unless you are a cat, and recently, our other dog Buckshot, who is 7. In the past month, they have gotten into 2 really bad fights and it is heartbreaking. The latest one was the worst and I could barely split them up with a cookie sheet, I thought Ranger was going to kill Buckshot. They are both males and the vet says both dominant dogs and that one of them will end up dead or or two young sons will end up getting bit trying to break up a fight. We have had Ranger since he was about 3 months old. Incidentally, we rescued him. We were told he was a ... (Read More)hound. He started looking like a pit bull and the vet says he is pit bull and boxer. We did have a female pit bull who passed away 3 years ago at the age of 13. So we are familiar with the breed. We do not have the room to separate the dogs on a daily basis, and even though they play and are friends, there are moments when one just 'snaps' and the fight is horrible. They didn't used to draw blood but things are progressing. The vet says Ranger is the sweetest dog. He loves people. I feel like we failed him but it is not fair to either dog to keep them in the same household. Although it breaks my heart, I am hoping there is someone looking for a great and loveable dog who is goofy and full of slober and loves to play ball . I know there are hundreds and thousands of homeless pets and we have always kept our pets to the death. This situation is emotional and heart breaking and I do not want to put Ranger to sleep. Any advice or direction you can give is appreciated. If you know anyone looking for a young and awesome pet, with no other dogs and no cats in the home, Ranger is a great fit. It is such a scary step because all the what ifs go through my head- what if he ends up in an abusive home or ends up in a home that fights dogs'|.     This is Jack. Jack is posted on this site because he was placed (misplaced) in a home in San Francisco, CA and I want to find him a better situation because Jack is definitely not a city dog. I have known Jack for just over three years now. He is 3.5 years old. Jack is a sweet dog. However, he is afraid of most people; he just doesn't trust humans--they make him nervous. He warms up to women faster than men and once he trusts you, he is playful and obedient. If you are a patient, kind person, he will warm up to you in time; it just takes a handful of meetings. Jack LOVES other dogs--especially female dogs. He can bring the shyest dog out of ... (Read More)their shell to play with him. In the right setting Jack is super playful and gentle and good natured. In the wrong setting, aka city life--loud noises, lots of people, he is timid, anxious and will bark to protect himself from all the scariness surrounding him. He deserves the right home--out of the city, into a quieter setting--and I want to find it for him. So here is what I am looking for in a home for this sweet soul of a dog. It may sound funny and very specific but I know Jack well and this is what he needs: He would like to live with a woman who is not very social; a woman who likes dogs more than she likes people. He would like to live out in the suburbs or better yet, out in the country where there is a lot of land and other dogs to play with. I would love for Jack to be in a home with other dogs because dogs bring Jack happiness. Being around other dogs seems to calm him and bring out the playfulness in him. Jack deserves lots of love and patience and kindness. If you match this description and would like to meet Jack, I would love to hear from you. I'm not going to rehome Jack to just anyone. Jack is special and deserves to be happy and feel safe. (Less)

We thought she would be good with my male pit but she attacked him, the trainer who is working with my pit said she is too aggressive with other dogs to try to rehabilitate as she was more than likely bred for fighting and has been bred multiple times for puppies.     Boxer Dogs can make good pets in California if they match your IifestyIe. Boxer dogs are energetic, playful and intelligent animals, they like to clown around a lot and will keep you laughing. Boxers learn new things quickly, and, at the same time, can be clever and stubborn. Boxer dogs bond well with a family, are very affectionate and get along well with children. Boxers need a lot of exercise, and will be well-behaved as long as they are taken on long walks every day. If kept confined without a lot of exercise, however, boxer dogs can become destructive. Boxers require lots of human companionship and should never be left alone for long periods of time.

lnteresting Boxer Trivia Low-Cost California Spay & Neuter Clinics
The name boxer originates from the fact that boxer dogs look like they are actually boxing when they play using their front paws. Boxers were first introduced at a dog show in Munich, Germany in 1895. Boxer dogs are the sixth most popular breed in the United States. Approximately 1 in 5 boxers are born white, and almost 20% of white boxers are deaf.
